A truly life changing BL.

No spoilers here! Feel free to safely read this review.

When I originally saw the trailer for this show, the first thing that stuck out to me (someone who hates horror) is that I still found myself drawn to facing my crybaby scaredy cat personality to watch this BL.

For a "horror" show, objectively it's not scary! There are a few jumpscares, but most (if not all) are really predictable and can be quickly avoided! If you are a scaredy cat like me, don't worry! I think you'll be okay.

As for the show itself, the storyline is INCREDIBLE. Loss, Yearning, Passion, Strength, Charisma, Fear, Suspense, Angst, everything you could want in a show (except it being fluffy and upbeat, though our side couple helps there) is here.

Our main couple (Kengnamping) goes through so much individually and as a duo. Their story has so many twists, turns, and things trying to keep them apart. But having their own battles to face and choosing to fight hand and hand against them, even if it's not a shared problem? Yeah, I'm weak in the knees over them.

And our side couple (Tlefirstone) Oh my gosh LOL, they're incredible! I was unfamiliar with the actors prior to Khemjira but their chemistry is off the charts! I found myself smiling over them since the first episode. Their energy and relationship is so endearing. It's everything to me! They feel like a breath of fresh air with everything the main couple has to go through.

There are endless words I could say to express my love for this show so far, but all I ask of you is to give it a fair shot. Even with each episode being over an hour somehow I felt like each was just 15 minutes.

The music, acting, chemistry, storyline, and world building of this show is unlike any other show I've ever seen. The level of detail and cultural significance in Khemjira is also everything to me. A true 10/10 recommendation from me (which is few and in between when it comes to BLs for me.)

A must watch if looking for a unique, well acted, and refreshing story.

I can't even begin to explain my love for this show.
I found out originally about it the day that episode 2 aired through a TikTok. When I heard all the praise I was utterly stunned I had somehow never heard about this show. I figured maybe I had watched the trailer and just wasn't interested. Boy was I wrong. When I watched the trailer (and realized I had never seen it) and also clicked together it was all 5 members of LYKN (a T-POP Group under GMMTV) and Est (who played in High School Frenemy, among other things) I was shocked! I dove right in to what was already out and craved more immediately. Idol stories aren't too common, and it's being done SO well by ThamePo.

The idols in the show are idols in the real world too! And wow.. the chemistry between William and Est has me captivated. I've gotten multiple friends onto the bandwagon of this show and even have watch parties set up every friday with my best friends. I truly and deeply hope that William and Est will become an official pairing. Their chemistry on and off screen is one of my favorites I have seen from ANY GMMTV DUO EVER. If you're on the fence about starting the show, please give it a shot. It's not as cheesy and cliche as a lot of GMMTV's normal stuff, and I know a good lot of people are drawn to GMMTV because of that energy, but it feels more mature and so refreshing. If you're someone drawn to good chemistry and good plot: this is for YOU! I will defend this show with my life.

(P.S.) Also, you don't have to be scared when Thame (William) pulls out a guitar! He's an idol, he can sing, let that worry wash away when you see him with it LOL
