I know it's 8.6 but is it really worth it watch? currently debating.
Even if you donāt like makjang/soapy stuff - I recommend to at least tryā¦ I personally canāt stand soap - but this one got me. Fast forwarded almost entire 1st episode but the last 10 min of it sucked me in. š
Great comedy - especially in the beginning made me burst out laughing. Drama with a very nice ending. Leads are cute together, and SML did a fantastic job (hope this actor returns back to acting soon)ā¦ As for other characters - the colleagues- Team 1 leader and secretary were fun. I fast forwarded most of the filler scenes with gangsters and motherās friends. Also not a fan of a thriller - which I mostly skipped - only watched to be aware of the plot and the last few episodes where she finally gets him. My only question did his family abandon him/he left them for good? After a hospital visit by his father I donāt recall seeing any of them againā¦

Really like Lee Min Ki in this - strangely even though my preferred genre is a romcom, I find him much more appealing in this detective roleā¦ His microexpressions with much humor are priceless. Han Ji Min is in her best as usualā¦ She just highlights any role and I cannot remember a drama where she wouldnāt be great - such a versatile actress. š¹
It was hard to get through the first 2 episodes, however by ep 5 I was sucked inā¦ Watching this show in 2023 was hard - too much shouting, fistfighting, unnecessary sacrifice, jealosy, stupid decisions, self destructive behaviors, parents meddling into their adult kids affairs drove me nuts (particularly in the first half of the show)ā¦ It was so much melodrama ar first! In the second half, the show somehow redeemed itself and became so much better with the main characters being more reasonable and loveble, and less loud as well. The leads had an amazing chemistry and their intimate scenes were believable and very organic. Their love for each other became very mature, which made me change my perception of the show 180 degrees. Eric did a fantastic job overall - his calm, kind and confident vibe was very appealing. I also enjoyed all the scenes with MLās coworkers, FLās parents and crazy couple brother with pink haired girl were adoravle. Overall, in the end, the entire plot made sense. Solid show if you can ignore all the noisy parts in the first half. 8.5/10
