It will be a bit difficult to follow the book exactly because a lot happens in the book that is hard to translate into drama. Like the way they torture Changyi n Yunhe. I wonder will they show the part of Yunhe sticking her hand out to feel the sun n her hand slowly turning into skeleton.
Lol the drama really made Haoqing have a one sided crush on Yun He 😂🤣
Actually the novel gives me the feel that Hao Qing has sort of secret crush, admiration n also brotherly love for Yunhe. Unfortunately he was raised slowly twisted by his father. If he didn't love Yunhe, he wouldn't have revived her after she died.
I'm so glad now there's no such thing as paid VVIP subscription for more new episodes like 8 in a go before actual airing like in the past. I feel it ruins the viewership and excitement n anticipation of waiting for new episodes.

Don't think it will be turned into a rom com. It's impossible. TBW is quite dark, heavy n angst. They need to inject a bit of humour dialogue to lighten the mood of the story a little before it gets darker. The funny dialogue was beginning part when Yunhe tries to win over Changyi.
Just look at JOL n SS... dialogues are funny n yet it is a serious drama. They use funny dialogue to lighten the heavy mood of the story. JOL n SS are still a serious drama n not romcom with all those funny dialogue n a harem.
Do note that viewers get turn off when a drama gets too dark n too heavy for them to digest.

As much as we like to see XFN being a kickass martial art n show more fighting prowess against the bad guys, we have to content with him standing back and letting the rest fight for him first because his fighting skill is still not yet fully developed. He started learning how to fight only recently. If not for the special energy that Wudang leader gave him, he can't even fight to save his own life least others. So what skills he has now are bits n pieces that he mastered along the way. As we have seen, even his break open heaven move could not overpower Han Diaosi as he is not strong enough yet. Lucky for he managed to command the 12 swords to kill Han Diaosi or else he would have been dead.
