One more thing, about the prince/Seo-ri's twin, I guess the moment Seo-ri went out to the town, the curse is reactivated on the prince as well. Maybe it's because she should've been killed in the first place, in order for the prince's curse to be lifted. Later on, when she fell into the lake, the Queen is trying to kill Hong-joo, so that's why she took the prince's spirit (I think) with her and ran away. Prince with no soul = dead.

About how she ended up in that place, didn't they show Yo-gwang saving her after she fell into the lake? I'm guessing he was the one who brought her to that place. Also, the scene where Choi Hyun-seo and Yo-gwang is fighting while Hong-joo did some magic things to the late king, is a flashback. That king, in actuality, was Seo-ri's real grandfather. I'll try answering all the other things if I come across some answers while subbing this show later on :)
is this good? cause the rating is kind of low since the very beginning..
If you want something quite light and you don't mind cliches, then this one is for you. I enjoyed it, and I feel like this movie is a perfect watch during days where you just want to unwind and watch something that is not too complicated yet still enjoyable :)
I gave this an 8. I like it, but honestly? There are some parts where I felt bored. I think this is more because I am not in the right frame of mind to be watching this movie; I didn't expect it to be that serious. If you are wondering, just watch it. You will be leaving the movie with a lesson or two, that much I can guarantee.
Was it that difficult to find an actress who is 15+? I mean, the main lead is almost 30 for god's sake... Ridiculous.
He... doesn't really look much older than she is from my point of view. In fact, I think if nobody knows that he is actually 29 years old and she 15, nobody would've guessed that they have *that* huge of an age gap. But yeah, I agree with you in the sense that they could've find other actresses that have smaller age gaps with Yoon Shi-yoon instead of casting Kim Sae-ron (no matter how much I love her) and causing all these conflicts among the viewers.
Woah. I haven't expected this shitstorm. For the change we have an experienced actress who actually can act and…
Considering that this is a sageuk and the fact the she is underage, I'm pretty sure the most that will happen between both of them is a chaste kiss on the cheek. It's kind of like how in Who Are You: School 2015 where *SPOILER ALERT* Eun-bi (played by Kim So-hyun, who is 16 at the time) is kissed the same way by Tae-gwang.
I love, love, love the white hair. I can't wait for the next episode to see whether the white hair will stay or if it's going to be a one-night-thing only. Praying that it will. The hair suits both Yeon-hee and the Crown Prince. Also, Kim Sae-ron's acting especially during the time that dark spirit went into her body is crazy amazing. I got shivers just from watching her in that scene.
Also, about Japanese dramas, I started with 1 Litre of Tears, and since then, there is no looking back. I found out that for J-doramas, the older they are, the better, but I'm not saying that the newer ones lack quality,it's just that I can never bring myself to watch K-dramas that are older than 2011 because their sense of fashion is just, you know, very painful to watch. But the opposite is true for J-doramas, I find myself watching 90's doramas and loving them. Maybe it's because the characters are not really following the trends of fashion at that time, so they are spared from all that terrible clothes and whatnot.
My first drama is Boys Over Flowers, Korean version. When I watched it, I was extremely addicted to it, though not by Lee Min-ho, but by Kim-bum. After watching that, I watched You're Beautiful (I don't remember much about this one). After that, I didn't watch any dramas for 4-5 years and during that time, I started to hate everything regarding Korean, mostly due to the drama BOF and YB (it's true what people said that there's a thin line between love and hate). Then, I started back due to boredomness, and somehow I managed to find some of their most amazing dramas, and was sucked right back into this strange, amazing world. Now, I am a KDrama lover, no regrets, I swear!
If you look at him from a certain angle, he kinda looks like Jang Dong-gun. XP
I'll be sure to check out some of the dramas mentioned here after I finished watching Beautiful Life (on a Kimura Takuya marathon right now) :D
I've watched Pride and I love it (minus the last 2 episodes or so, where they make the MC do the most cliched thing ever, urgh, the drama would've been perfect otherwise). Then I watched Fuben na Benriya due to various positive reviews. Regretfully, eventhough I finished the drama, I don't get all the jokes and for me, the drama is not even a little bit funny. Some of the jokes that I recognized as such are just corny and cliched. After that, I stopped watching J-Dramas. Now, after reading this article, I feel like I want to try watching Kazoku Game as it's also been sitting on my PTW list for a long time. Here's to hoping that I will like the drama! :)
I watched this because of the high rating but I guess I'm in the minority (or maybe the only one lol) in the fact…
Really? Wow you have completely different views than me then.I marathoned the drama too, but for me it was a completely amazing and thrilling ride. Plus, you don't like Kim Hye-soo's acting? For me, after watching both this drama and the movie Chinatown, I felt like she is one of Korea's best actress. And the crap that she pulled when she was young I guess was because she was a newbie as a police and didn't have that many experience. I also think it was because she was really motivated to catch those law-breakers. That's my opinion, by the way. And sorry for the multiple 'was' xP
One of my favourite dramas. I'm gonna rewatch it because one of the channel in my country's cable TV has decided to rebroadcast it tonight! Words can't describe how happy I am to be able to watch the drama on TV instead of my tiny phone's screen :D
This drama doesn't really do it for me. Shame, as I was expecting something more just from watching the trailer. I just can't get through Yook Sung-jae's character, not because he's a bad actor, he's far from that. Maybe this is also because I recently finished Signal, and I'm kind of comparing every single police characters that I found in other dramas to Signal's and they are usually found lacking. *sad face* Also, there are some slow parts that made me feel bored plus the fact that I felt as if the drama was trying too hard to be scary that it became the opposite of that. Aaand, that's my take on this drama.
If you are trying to decide whether to watch this drama or not, I'd say give it a try for a few episodes. Who knows, maybe it is your type of drama. Just because it isn't mine, doesn't mean that it isn't yours, right? :)
