Not a series but there's a Japanese film called Double Mints and a Korean/Japanese film called The Depths, there kinda similar, both deal with organised crime.
Can someone who's read the book please spoil for me how Vegas and Pete's relationship starts. In the series Vegas hasn't showed much interest in Pete nor have there been many interactions between them and I'm just wondering how that begins to change and what causes it (like when does Pete start catching Vegas's eye?) Thanks :)

Agreed. I was really hoping this would be a dark, gritty, realistic show instead of taking the usual thai comedic route. Hopefully we'll get some better eps as the show progresses.

I enjoyed the first episode thoroughly. I love a good enemies to lovers trope. Really looking forward to the next episode. I'm off now to go read the manhwa!
With Sohee, Taekyung was the first one to stand up to her in ep 8 telling her "Da On isn't an object that belongs to you". Then in ep 9 Shinwoo stood up to her, refusing her help and telling her once again Da On doesn't belong to her. Then in the latest episode Namgung stood up to her as well, calling her out on her bullshit. Da On's the only one who still hasn't called her out, I feel (and hope) that this means the show's leading up to Da On finally reaching his breaking point with her and also calling her out. It would be good for her because hopefully hearing it from the guy she's been obsessing over for years, will finally be the wake up call she needs (although I doubt if this character was a real person they'd ever actually change. Like Namgung said some people will never change). It would also be good for Da On to learn that he doesn't have to be nice to everyone, not everyone needs to like him. Some people don't deserve your respect, some times you just need to tell people to fuck off (and Sohee is one of those people). It would be great to see Da On finally break his perfect composure and let some raw emotions out.
In the end I hope Da On comes to find some self-acceptance and some confidence in himself, so he doesn't rely on other people to tell him he's worthy. I hope Taekyung ends up with Shinwoo (I'm 99.9% sure this will happen). I think Taekyung and Shinwoo are at similar stages in coming to terms with their sexuality. Taekyung is pretty open with it and doesn't seem to care about what others would think. Shinwoo's obviously dealt with this in the past and those two guys said he didn't deny it back in middle school. I'm not sure if he'd be ready to deal with it again, but I think he's pretty whipped for Taekyung and so would gladly be open about their relationship. Da On on the other hand is obviously still a little while off so I think he needs to work on coming to terms with himself and accept himself before he enters a relationship with someone else (you know the saying, "you have to love yourself before you can love someone else).
My final pairings are as follows: Taekyung x Shinwoo Da On x Self-Acceptance and Telling People To Go Fuck Themselves Namgung x Mr. Seo (I know it would be highly inappropriate but based on the last ep, him and teach have talked a fair bit. Mr. Seo's been giving him some wise words and helping him out with whoever Namgung has a crush on.
