I’m yet to watch The Untamed, but I hear it’s quite good! Will definitely have to check it out. My mole obsession was probably born from watching Yu in We Best Love. As someone who’s been watching queer media for years even before I discovered bl, the gifs on your profile of movies like Shelter, Jongens (boys), Free fall, and couples like malec, Ian and Mickey, and the guys from oz, skam, eyewitness, and the newer young royals, made me reminisce on some older classics!! Ikr, like I’m not making fun of the sex scenes because I hate sex, I was super excited for a series focusing on sex and its industry. There’s lots of interesting things you can delve into about sex which are relatively untouched in other bl dramas. And granted playboyy does explore some of those themes. It just doesn’t feel very well done imo.

Something about it just doesn’t feel very immersive to me, idk if it’s the editing or the dialogue or the sets or the acting, but it all feels very pretend. Not the situations and not the events, I don’t doubt they are based on real life, but it’s the way they’re presented here through a culmination of different aspects that makes it feel like I’m just watching a bunch of rookie actors pretending to be sexually diverse.

But who knows maybe I’m just jaded because I had set my expectations too high lol 😭 idk I enjoy reading mdl comments for the diversity of opinions, but calling someone stupid or immature just because they have a difference of opinion just doesn’t sit well with me 😞

But you don’t get it, the show is actually a metaphor 🙄 /sarcasm. Like if you want me to take your show about sex seriously, first make it seem like they’re actually having sex lol. Like I’m so confused with the visible undies in every sex scene, are they screwing or are they dry-humping?! 😭 Or maybe it’s simply just a metaphor my underdeveloped brain just simply can’t handle... 🧐🤣 (don’t choke me out fellow commenters, it’s all in jest)

Guys as a horror fan I am super pumped for this series, especially since it seems like it’ll be more of a slasher than a supernatural/paranormal series, as slashers are one of my fav sub-genres of horror. I am so freaking excited right now, I can’t believe we’re finally reaching that stage in bl’s evolution where we’re getting horror themed bls! Shadow, The Whisperer (which I’m still unfortunately waiting for eng subs tho lol😭) and now this, omg I’m living right now ☺️!!!
