Both timelines are accurate, which means that the characters have already made their decisions. This drama does not involve time travel or the possibility of going back to the past. Instead, both endings are real for their respective timelines. This is just my perspective, but perhaps other commenters have a different idea from me.

Both timeline endings are based on FL's choices. If she chooses not to work or move to Shanghai, she will get married to her long-time boyfriend. However, if she chooses to work in Shanghai, it will lead to a breakup with her boyfriend and getting together with the second male lead.

I think some people felt scammed by the trailer before the drama aired. They were expecting a healing and romantic drama, just like Mr. Cha Cha.

For me both timeline are the real one.

Only FL, both ML are the supporting character. For me.

Watching this feels like I'm watching a plot from a 2016 Korean drama.

If they stick to the original K-drama storyline, the ex gf has already married and that her son would have taken her or the husband's last name. The ex gf left without formally breaking up with the ML, ghosting him for five years without any closure.

I know the writer is going to portray the protagonist as a victim in her backstory so that the viewers can sympathize with her. However, I do not share the same sentiment. She and her family should be held accountable for their actions and should face the consequences. Are we going to justify her crime just because of her background? Let's consider real-life scenarios. Can a school shooting be justified just because the shooter was bullied?
