The hate the ML gets is super real. Some of it is justifiable, since it's part of the story, but damn.

It's sad this is gonna be over in 5 episodes. I grew fond of this world and the characters. I just hope we get another historical show this year with women supporting women in ancient times. You all have been a joy to watch this with!

I love that he is working his own case, but being her silent shadow at the same time. Now I know that when he saves her in the street it happens after she is walking home from seeing this 'deity':

Detective HZ is on the case, she already smells bullshit and some 'cold reading' scam going on. So, she is probably going to either say something or draw attention to herself... and when she does, they put a hit on her, and XY will be following her, intervene and save her. Then they both will come clean about it all. Maybe YX will find out his Uncle is behind it and they are racing home. Which then leads to the YX falling overboard, her rescuing him, them staying in in a hut onshore and her admitting that she feels bad that she broke up with him, but he has been following her and protecting her. They reconcile, and sleep together (or, just lay together - no sex).

Damn you Youku for giving us one episode today. :( I want my fast track so I can watch the last five episodes.

Wow, the location shots do WONDERS. It's up there with shows like Game of Thrones and etc. The shows coming out this year and next, dang. They look cinematic.

It's the scene in the episode where they were shopping and he just honed in on the bed. And was like, lets get a bed.
