I'm always grateful when we get subtitles at all, but whoever decided to put 3 subtitles on top of each other in episode 1 deserves to be fired. Especially since the 3rd one doesn't add any value: it's exactly the same text, just a bit bigger (when the original one was perfectly visible). It doesn't make any sense, so WHY?? For people annoyed by that: fortunately, it's only in episode 1 and there's also not much dialogue. Keep watching. :)
Uh, this short film made me dizzy. And I'm not saying it as a joke, it really made me dizzy. The camera is moving so much that it spoils the entire experience of watching the film. If I had recorded this with my mobile phone and while being drunk, the images would be more stable than this. There are also some awkward framings that don't make sense at all, like the camera focusing on one guy's foot, on a fly on the other guy's back, the boys' underwear or their nipples. And no, not in a nice or sexy way. It's just bad framing.
On the positive side, the actors are cute (I would even say handsome, but they were too young to be in the "hot guys" category). The story was meh... nothing new. I found the premise of "Awkward Love" (by the same director and also with a love triangle) more interesting. But the acting was way better here, especially Bluebam's.
The best part: their kiss. It was a lot better than many kiss scenes done by more famous actors.
Takabayashi's hands are rated E baby.....EVERYBODY can get it lol!!! You say something he doesn't like? Slap!…
I was totally lost, too. But then I read the description on GagaOOLala and it makes more sense (even if not completely...): "Takumi Hayama struggles with familial trauma that leaves him fearful of physical contact." So, as far as I understand it now (watching ep 2), they are boyfriends, but without touching.
Is it only me but PEARL seems to NOT like skinship. All the behind the scenes and public appearances that they…
I haven't watched videos of them other than the series, but just because they don't do fan service doesn't mean that he doesn't like skinship. Not defending him, but think about it: outside the BL bubble, do you see actors being clingy to each other, touching each other etc.? Not even actors who play couples behave like that. Maybe, just maybe, they do it if they are a couple in real life, too, but even then: they don't stay glued to each other during interviews or events. Some people are professionals, you know? :) I actually think it's better to be a bit distant (not unconfortable!) in the case of BL actors, in order to stop delusional fans, sasaengs and so on.
This is soooo ridiculous that in the end I actually enjoyed watching it. 😂 I liked the premise ("Dangerous Liasons"/"Cruel Intentions" story), but there were a lot of stupid dialogues and scenes (basically everything that was added to the original plot). The "fighting" scenes were bad, the editing was not the best either.
Not gonna lie: if it wasn't for Winner and Chris, I would have stopped watching it after max 2-3 episodes. I watched it to the end because I love the main couple (and their NC scenes). I hope they will have more projects together, but better ones.
Is it worth the money? If you have the financial means and want to support the actors, please do that. Otherwise, I would say that you can do something better with your money.
where to watch legally https://www.monomax.me/title/105429-mandate.html
Thank you for posting the link like 100 times (I suppose it's because you want to support the actors), but that link is useless for international fans, unfortunately.
I'll wait one day after the episode airs... then I try to search in Google ... f.e. "mandate ep 1 eng sub"…
I just searched for it and couldn't find it anywhere yet. It's very frustrating, 'cause I actually want to watch all the series legally, I have subscription for Viki, GagaOOLala, IQIYI, WeTV, to support the actors and producer teams. But then there are series that you can't find on these main platforms. As much as I want to support everyone, I can't afford to pay for all these smaller mobile apps and services, just to watch one series. And for a VPN service, on top of that. They force viewers to watch illegally.
Was just about to comment asking who that man is too, ahaha. I was wondering if I somehow forgot he was part of…
I was confused at first, too. I thought maybe that was his ex or a former school colleague. But I think I understood it in the end: it was just a random guy that Shinichiro saw as a younger version of himself. Like maybe also a closeted gay man. He said "If I could see my past self, I would tell him...", that's why I think he saw this man as his younger self.
I'm very confused about the mother situation. Other people have already asked about them living together or what the arrangement is. And, luckily, someone explained it in the comments: there is a thing called "major wife" and "minor wife" in Thailand, something like being a concubine.
So that makes more sense now, but I have other questions, too.
1) So, Knight's mother knows about Per's mother talking to Kan. Yet, we see that a lot of time passes until Per finds out what really happened. Meaning that his stepmother knew about it all along, but didn't tell Per anything. Why?
2) Is it something normal in Thailand/Asia to just butt in and give people advice, without even knowing them? I understand that Knight's mother wants to help, but Kan even told her on the phone he doesn't want that. Nonetheless, she joins him in the restaurant and they chat as if they've been buddies for ages.
Well, I guess that's just 2 more points on a long list of things that don't make sense in this series. It's a pity, the actors deserve better. My only hope right now is that Tum and Klah end up together, without a poorly written dramatic story.
Oh, "Khun Daddy" would have been a blessing! At least it sounds like an older man having a younger lover,…
It's Mos's birthday today, so I was checking to see what his next projects are. I don't consider myself to be their biggest fan, but from time to time I look up what they are doing. I believe they have potential, so I'm still hoping that they will get a better project. The "Sunset x Vibes" trailer looked promising, but I was disappointed by the series. Don't know what to say about this new one. The pilot trailer looks ok-ish, but I started rolling my eyes as soon as I heard "university" and "engineering student"...
The Plot does seem weak. There weren't any scenes that captured my attention to want to watch the series. The…
Oh, "Khun Daddy" would have been a blessing! At least it sounds like an older man having a younger lover, sugar daddy stuff. But it was "Khun Dad", the cringiest thing ever! :D
I see that this series had 4 screenwriters, but I suspect they all quit and the script was written by AI. 'Cause no person in their right mind would write something THAT unrealistic.
I'm sure there will be some explanation for what happened, but until then, Mild knows only that he was SAed. Yet, he, as a victim (until further explanation), doesn't want to hear Knight's version of the story, but is perfectly fine with Knight kissing him, back hugging and, even worse: Mild even kisses the alleged aggressor himself?!?!
The story was boring from the beginning, I kept watching for the 2 secondary couples. But now the story is not just boring anymore: it turned into a huge mess. I feel sorry for the actors.

2) Does anyone know where international fans can watch the series? (Ideally as a movie with all the episodes in one video.)
