It was TIMEPASS
After first episode , i dropped it. Then after few episode , I saw scenes clippings and there was nothing to watch after coming from office ..So, thought of watching it ...It was okay.. Not too good and not too bad. TIME PASS
I will say normal Kdrama.Nothing extraordinary .As always , wrong person was liked by FL in the beginning, usual scenario "Childhood Oppa".
ML helping FL , drunk fl , back hugs, piggy ride ,over exaggeration of emotions from side characters and extraordinary good ML
Same as usual. So skipped scenes ...
Last few episodes were somewhat boring and and over flowing with overacting of emotions. I didn't enjoyed.

Boring
I was really looking forward to watch this drama, for ML and FL. It was a disappointment.As, i didn't feel any chemistry between the leads.It was as if they are mechanically reading and moving as per director's instructions.I didn't feel any onscreen chemistry. Tang Song Yun performance was not felt... Xu Kai felt very formal.
So many characters.. Not at all satisfactory

Cute but Monotonous
Okay; First i liked the clips on other media pages.Thought of giving it a try.First 2 episode it took time for me to understand that FL is a 2nd year medical student.Like Seriously!!!
From no where she looked like a medical student.Who hardly study and only think of baking cakes and "ROMANCE".
Till episode 23 she gave me a feeling that she occupied someone else seat in medical entrance...
ML is cute , but unable to portray cold, strict male. Then she didn't even confront her deceiving best friends.
Wang Xiyu Bf is telling her to concentrate on herself and career. She has nothing better to do , linger around him.
The writer is a teenage girl,who is fulfilling inner desire by writing this kind of characters. Not the kind of drama , i expected. Good for small girls, who wants to day dream..

Disappointing
Yang Mai looked like ,she is going to attend party all the time.Like seriously , who dress up like that for office. Her body language was irritating . Xu Kai was good.Drama could have been better;Yang Mai was so so good in Ten Miles of Peach Blossom.I expected something similar, but here it felt like she delivered the dialogue and finish the scene. No room for improvement.
I dropped it after 10 episode.Lost interest after seeing her acting.
Felt like she was doing a favor by delivering dialogues.

BORING
Started watching with interest, because of cast FL and ML previous drama was very interesting.After, few episode.. felt there is no chemistry between ML and FL.
FL character felt selfish and clingy. She remembered her niece in poor life because she needed money, previous life when she had everything. She forgot the poor niece from circus.
ML character felt like, he was confused regarding so many things in life.
Story was not convincing enough. Some of previous life was not explained.Some of the side stories was not explained or given enough screen time.
As if, director or editor was in a hurry or wanted to wrap up in 16 episode. Didn't enjoyed watching.

Hoping for more improvement in upcoming episode
Till now it is OKAY...I will not compare the screen play and novel story .Of course , they have to finish within 36 episodes. Female is good actress, I have watched her previous work, but i am not getting convince with her role as a general. Her body posture , her fragile body , her height is not convincing enough for this role.I am still watching, hope it improves may be she will catch up in later episode. The way she trying to switch between a cute girl and a trained and victorious army general. Not CONVINCING ENOUGH. I am finding it not so compelling . Some thing is missing when she is changing her personality . As for Male lead, first time I am watching his work. His eyes are very attractive. Hope his role get more convincing.I am keeping my 🤞. Few scenes looked so so fake, the action scenes are not convincing enough as we have seen much better action scene in other dramas, even the female action scenes in some dramas are better than this. Or 🤔we have seen some best of best , So this feel mediocre.
LETS HOPE FOR THE MORE IMPROVEMENT IN UPCOMING EPISODE.

Much ado about nothing
What a disappointment....I had high expectations from this drama, because of casting Bai LU and Dylan Wang...
In beginning; it was lit bit interesting, but FL character was a let down.She is a smart,talented new generation journalist. What she is doing,l lying, acting like a dumb taking all the wrong suggestion from a friend .Who herself is confused about her relationship.
Story is slow and boring; scenes were repetitive.Onscreen chemistry is not there between main characters; felt more like shooting formalities. Three ML does look powerful onscreen; especially Dylan as CEO walking making a grand entry..don't feel his power as CEO. Basically,everyone fro0m FL boss to FL to FL so called idiotic best friend relationship is mess ...
24 episodes ; everything is still dragging... Felt boreed

Characters are lacking enthusiasm, Energy...
FL is so so so dull not even close to Tang Song.
Tang Song energy was completely different that was some other level.
All other characters are dull too. Only enjoyed the children characters

Disappointed
I was very excited to watch this series because of Zhao Lusi, butdropped it because of ML. I was not able to watch him onscreen,
somehow adjusted because of Zhao Lusi.
ML is not looking like a man in love, his expression is of lusty man.
In the first few episodes, he is looking like a pervert, a Pedophile.
Disappointed . They should had hired a good actor, with a little bit more mature love looks not a actor who's giving expression of a molester than a lover.

Excellent Year End ?
I saw reels, Li Yun Rui in white hairs flying in air with a hoodie. Loved him as Yuan Shen in LLTG😍 After DONG HUA DIJUN;Li Yun Rui is the only C drama actor ; i liked in white hairs.He was so comfortable in that look👍👍👍
I was curious, thought will watch only one episode , but that bow in shot where they fell and overlap each other took my 😮
REBORN/REBIRTH is my favorite topic including revenge.This one was only rebirth, but still interested. So, as episodes moved on and story got unfold it was pleasure watching this drama.Everything was perfect; the story telling; execution for every characters was nice. Last one year i was loosing interest. in C Drama and lost all interest in K Drama.So, mostly fwd the scene and watch because story is predictable. Sometimes, you come across the drama where why those characters did things director is not able to explain.Here each and every characters were explain ,motives were explained . A very detailed drama .I was not able to fast forward or skip scene. as they were interconnected. I finished watching it today on this weekend ; and fully satisfied . Couple onscreen chemistry is good. Although, i have never seen FL before ; saw her first time , but she was into the character as if she is Dou Zhao herself. End was totally satisfying.

Simple and Elegant
Loved it. 💖.I started watching because of Arthur Chen.🥰 Loved him in Lighter&Princess. 🥰First time I saw this FL , she took me by surprised. Their onscreen chemistry clicked from their first scene together. The way they performed in scene were as they were very comfortable with each other. It felt realistic and natural.What I liked the most was there was no arrogant devil lord , I mean there was but not that which take 14 episode to smile or touch a FL. They went from strangers to friend to lovers smoothly without any extra fuss.That's what I loved the simplicity of story.Arthur Chen , has his own arrogance there is some LORD aura you feel every time he appears on screen in any drama and that's what i like about him. He played a protective ,tender,fierce and not so possessive lover which was a new thing in these drama.Otherwise, the possessiveness irritates me that they cannot tolerate FL brothers also. Arthur Chen captured all the emotions so beautifully , making Sima Jiao respectfull and unforgettable.Keeping it real that its a drama .
The FL Wang Yinglu , this was first time I was watching her work and she was so convincing in her character she carried glimpses of a modern girl and a girl in ancient time together. The way she smoothly agreed to sleep with Sima Jiao to help him and with no regret she knew what she is doing and what she wants and was carefree about it . Unlike , in other drama which of course irritate me when they touch or kiss the Ml and throwing tantrum.. Some of the characters in the past really pissed me off.
She set a new standard for female character in chinese drama.
There is no toxic traits, no misunderstandings,no third party .Just simple healthy relationship.
The cutest part was otter and snake.I enjoyed that part so much.
So, satisfying drama with no emotional baggage and tons of crying. Every episode was entertaining .
