though the development between the main couple seems fast, i am loving it . it's not romance in my opinion yet . it's just them interacting more often
the ml really likes her unconditionally and he is STRAIGHT-FORWARD AS HELL . honestly the fl really needed someone like him beside her ( though he cant support her in the power fight. atleast at the point what she really needs - mental peace which is something he is giving properly )
honestly i dont want the ml to play save the damsel in distress cause i know the fl is strong enough to protect herself well . the ml seems to humane , nice , easy to pity others .i like it but also hate that part of him .

i lack knowledge of chinese history but is this a real dynasty or a completely made-up dynasty ?cause this is my first time seeing so much journey by boat . usually they travel through horse ride but here i noticed they mostly travel through boats ( but then i havent watched that many historical dramas hence my lack of awareness )

i agree . either just like yin zhang i have trust issues or he is being portrayed as a creep by the director and writer to mislead us

u know those couples who act like a married couple , bickering yet have a great understanding and bonding between each other that's literally how our main couple is like :D since the beginning, their chemistry is exactly like that

can anyone tell me a few good points about the drama ( that i can look forward to while watching it ) . first , i was not that interested in the drama but i saw it got good ratings and praises from people so now i want to watch it :)

the story sounds interesting . the main leads r promising . i would love if they add comedy into it but i am afraid of the historical settings ( hope the historical setup is fictional and doesnt use any name or mention any real historical being as people seemed quite sensitive bout it last time in joseon exorcists and sadly it got cancelled )

that was the character she played that cries alot . if u want to watch her playing strong characters u can try mouse and extracurricular :)

i know he didnt get the girl in 18 again , true beauty and even the sound of magic T . T . but this time hopefully he will . my 6th sense says it XD ( so dont worry )

i hope they cast doyoung from nct as a member . he seemed to match the other members well . kinda reminds me of the time with eun woo and sungjae . mayb i am being biased as i love nct but still while watching ep 219-222 i felt he blends well

at first i was doubtful about the drama due to the term " professor-student" romance and also i thought i would be uncomfortable about the age gap ( like i was while watching romance is a bonus book , melancholia and the scenes of the young ml and older fl in 18 again . mayb it's just me ) but I WAS WRONG .

first of all the thing that made me wow was the fl's acting . GOD , she is soooo good . her expressions remind me of that lady of penthouse (forgot the name but i hope u can recognize ) . she is expressive but not over the top . the fl is VERY STORNG , always ready and 2 steps ahead sometimes which is smart of her . her attitude is just *chef's kiss* ( u can see i am head over heels for her XD )

the ml , he seems like a source of light , reminder of goodness for the fl who has long left her morals behind to achieve success in the hell-like society . he is straight forward and i like it
the story is strong , nice . honestly i couldnt understand the story from the trailer . ep 1-2 was quite helpful . overall the premise was very good

that's why i am watching the drama . it reminds me that life is not always rainbows and butterflies . people r selfish and that's an universal truth and the drama nicely conveys it

when i meant 2nd kim bok joo i meant it being underappreciated during it's air and then getting popularity among international fans few years later . i am not blind enough to compare it to kim bok joo for other reasons . cause other than 2 facts ( it's a rom-com , it has the same fl ) these two have nothing in common

i just realized what a womanizer this "bf" of ming meng's best friend is . he has a fiance - ning meng's best friend , he got a lady pregnant and he also had a fling with his secretary 😳😳

ALOT . they used to bicker like tom and jerry all the time in the past . as a result she is sus about his sudden change of heart

they say it all the time - one of the best part of their drama is the cameos ( usually this many cameos dont happen quite often in entertainment dramas easily . last one mayb was producers . but that drama aired in 2015 )

the drama is sooooooooooo good , such a good written script yet just due to two controversies this is being seen negatively :( i feel in future it will be the second weightlifting fairy kim bok joo . when that drama came out no one really liked it thus it got very low ratings but now it is one of the most loved rom-youth drama among international fans . though many r hating the drama rn i feel in future they will understand what a underrated gem they missed while it aired . and then i will proudfully say - i was one of the viewers who waited eagerly each week to get new eps of the drama :D

this is a drama that mainly focuses on the office work and i loved it thing about the drama cause usually in workpalce-rom dramas we see them falling in love while working then there is no mention of the office work until the very end when the writers need to show a crisis to show how strong the main couple's love is . but here it is mainly about the investment business/ ning meng's journey from being the devil investor's secretary to being a invester herself .so it shows alot of work going on .

now one thing u have to understand even in reality we dont fall for a person soon ( it only happens in dramas ) this being a realistic drama matches the pace of our real life . now if they were to date at ep 15-20 ( as many of the viewers r crying for ) wouldnt it be kinda stockholm syndrome for ning meng cause until ep 24 lu ji ming has done nothing but being rude to her , belittling her .

also , he realized his attraction towards her very long which is okay cause he started seeing her as a potential love partner AFTER he moved on from his past love . if he dated ning meng while not moving on ( like the sml is doing ) i dont think the relation would have been healthy

it is a slow paced romance story . if u dont like that fact about the drama . sorry it's not for u . u can skip through the work mentioned scenes but then u will be left with nothing but 10-12 min of each eps

i didnt like the movie much cause the middle of the movie was much better than the climax ( the last fight i was eagerly waiting for . so the ending felt dull ) hope they create a GOOD script for the drama
