well , i kinda have a love - hate relationship with the ending of it . if it had a HE ( for the main couple ) it would have been the best rom-youth drama of 2022 ( it kinda still is despite the ending ) .we all love HE and the way the story of the drama was , a HE would have been a cherry on top . that's why i hated the ending . like we already have enough sadness in our life . why ruin our day by showing us such dissatisfactory ending ?
but i also cant hate the ending . because it was very realistic . not all love story needs a HE ( that's what the writer intended ) which i cannot deny . the whole drama had a very realistic story . that's why people loved it and the ending is also how in reality many of us had ended our relationships like .
so if u dont want to ruin the aftertaste of the drama u should stop at 14 ( believing they got married and the girl is theirs ) but since u started the drama u should watch it till the end ( though u know the spoilers ) . but u may wanna pull your hairs out after watching the ending

hope they show GREAT character development of the ml otherwise i wont mind a 25-21 kinda ending where they breakup in the end after realizing they r not meant for each other ( as they have different priorities )

this story reminds me of the novel "what comes around goes around" . if one has read that novel he/she will know what i am talking about . i am not saying it's plagiarized but it is so similar ( in terms of the story ) that i am shocked . but then it's not uncommon for 2 stories to be similar

the way this story is progressing or the way it is focusing on hfx's part more , i feel it would have been better if they made it into 2 parts like the blue whisper . that way they would have enough episodes to focus on both of the main leads equally ( almost ) . cause i watched ep 25's trailer and it still didnt progress much .they only have 40 eps so there is no way they could show the whole story of the novel in just 40 eps when 25 episodes were shown like this ( which can be a bit disappointing to the novel fans who were anticipating the live action of the novel )

though i dont know about the controversies , r those really that bad that the drama can stop airing midpoint ?

i know this is not the place to ask but can anyone suggest me a good and trustworthy website to check cdrama news . pls , i believe there is alot going on in the chinese drama industry but i dont know about it due to lack of sources . so it will be very helpful if someone can suggest me some websites like koreaboo and soompi ( i know these two r not that good as well . especially soompi but still in the end of the day i still learn some news from them so they r tolerable )

at first, it felt like God sent jung yeol to tae sung to torment him to give back what he did to han byul ( it was very funny to see jung yeol's silly mistakes and tae sung losing his patience over it ) but at the end of ep 4 the bonding seemed very lovely between these two

everyone simping over the lawyer and here i am simping over kang yoo sung . sometimes that man is so sly and clever that it's almost attractive . he seems very nice at first meeting ( due to his cute smile and polite behavior ) but then oh man , he is soooo sly and he knows his stuff . how come no one is talking about him ??? r they missing something or is it just me ?

yeah i agree . there r many underrated actors who can deliver better acting than him and sometimes i feel he got the limelight at the beginning because of how attractive he is rather than how good he is as an actor . but we must agree his acting is getting better ( if u compare who rules the world to love 020 though there is no drastic changes, his facial expressions did get better )

he always looks sooo handsome it's almost breathtaking . i have never seen him looking "bad" :D

i think 2 eps a day , 8 eps a week wont be enough for me . but i also can't wait until they finish airing all eps to binge-watch. can they just air all eps together tomorrow ? i think i will be satisfied then

well , when her past lover and the father of her child rebelled against the king he killed him brutally ( not only because of the rebel but also his jealousy and fear that she will go back to him ( the past lover ) ) when she learn about it she at first decided to attack him but couldnt cause she loved him but him believing she actually came to kill him stabbed her in the stomach thus killing her in the process

true . that ending just ruined the drama for me . the starting of the drama was good but by the end the ml got very aggressive and possessive and that's when everything just went downwards and the ending was just *cherry on top * for making me hate the drama even more

there r many things like this in xianxia (?) dramas / novels that u shouldnt question . for example that long piece of white cloth that appears in bfx's hand only when she needs to attack someone or the money they bring out of their outfit when ever they need to pay . now even though i dont know how many pockets these costumes have but the items they hide should bulk up when stuffed inside right ?
so no questioning or trying to find logic in xianxia dramas/novels in this type of situation :)

how much do i love this drama u ask - well , i watched every single trailer , teaser anything of any yt channel that can spoil me about the upcoming episodes , i check my calendar every day to check when the new eps r being released , i keep refreshing the website i use to see if they uploaded the subbed eps . i read every single spoiler bout the novel ( though many things r different in the novel ) just to know the story
so yeah i am being like basically any other drama lover but i have never been so eager about a cdrama like this before . i usually watch period / costume cdramas after they have finished airing all the eps and i only watch them after confirming that it is a HE ( cause i had a very bad experience with the king's woman ) but this time u can actually guess my obsession :)

dont hate me but from the number of dramas u have finished watching and your review of the drama i could feel u r very PICKY about your dramas . it's okay u just have different standards . i know i could just ignore your review but i thought i had to tell u this - this drama might not be the best one out there but it's not as bad as u r making it seem like .i have seen worse :) and considering those dramas this one can easily get a 8/8.5 from me
