Hello, can you tell me the names of the other versions?
Taiwan and Korea called it Fated to Love You 2008 and 2014 respectively. Thailand also called it the same in 2017. Then there is my favourite.. the Chinese version You are My Destiny in 2020!!
Thank you! Perhaps you can start watching some of those dramas that top this list to find out for yourself if…
I find that some of the quiet Korean dramas are great eg Mad for Each Other, Hi, Bye Mama, Something in the Rain, and Red Sleeve Cuff. For laughs I really enjoyed Mr Queen. Some of the older Korean drams have 'aged" but others like Another Miss Oh, have aged very well. ( PS Thailand updated Full House successfully..not a great show but fine)
If taken as a look at history in all culture when life span was so much shorter than today, a girl getting married…
I can see no explanation will satisfy you so then I do hope you have taken your passion for this issue and working with organisations that work to address issues such child brides in countries that still condone it, and boy soldiers in civil wars throughout the word.
The lack of Japanese dramas means I am unable to take this seriously... And I have watched most of the dramas…
Another "silly" comment re Japanese dramas ( and I have 11 is my saved external drive) is personally I often do not relate to all aspects of Japanese humour and, more noticeably, each of the other Asian dramas ( Chinese, Korean, Thai and Taiwanese) have used many remarkable sound tracks, music and songs . I have them on my playlist without understanding the lyrics eg the haunting theme to Yanxi Palace. To my 72 year old ears, just personally, the songs and music accompanying even my fav Jdramas sound like elevator music and sounds the same for each drama. I have seen some Japanese music and it is way above the standard used in the dramas I have seen. OST from Korean and Chinese shows are in many instances wonderful and Thailand, in particular, is doing it as well...even their BL shows like I Told the Sunset about You has memorable songs. Just my opinion.
I agree with so many of the posts here re the list ( watched all of the top 19..I'm retired). I also agree with pauline 59 re modern Chinese dramas. She forgot Dating in the Kitchen. While I also enjoyed the shows that were listed from Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. I think this may, at least in my personal experience, have to do the number of these shows that provide sub titles eg a far greater number of Thai BL shows have eng subs evident by the two listed. So here are some I have loved from the other countries, My Husband in Law and My Secret Bride (Thai), Before we Get Married ( Taiwan) and Love Lasts Forever and In This Corner of the World (Japan). In closing, I enjoyed reading the lists and even more reading all the comments so far ( will keep following) . I love being reminded of great shows that others too have enjoyed and many times getting recommendations for those I missed. Thank you all!!!
Love Like The galaxy was so freaking creepy, the girls is made to be just 15 and the general is 20. To make things…
If taken as a look at history in all culture when life span was so much shorter than today, a girl getting married young was the norm and ,in this instance, the age gap is almost negligible. There are still societies in today's world that marrying a 'child" to a truly older man is considered the norm.
I am more than disappointed to read comments describing any subber of Thai dramas as slow, irresponsible etc as seen below. Any fan of Thai dramas who requires subs of another language to fully appreciate these shows would understand that they are NOT professional. They have families, lives, sometimes studies, covid etc etc that can impact on the time they have to spend doing what I understand is a lengthy process requiring more that the "simple" act of translating the dialogue. I think it is OK to be disappointed but NOT OK to label the subber in negative terms because you are disappointed. Do you know what personal circumstance caused the subber to slow down or cease. I am aware also that Bitter Kisses has been working to restore the website. Do you know what happened there? Please be more considerate and grateful for the work of subbers . Without them I, for one, would not enjoy the many Thai dramas I have had access to.
I watch a lot of my Asian dramas and films on subber's sites as I only have one language . Neko Meow Meow completed…
You can watch and see if Neko puts it on Always Grumpy Cat where she uses google drive, file factory. I know of no other. I have heard that using a VPN allows access to sites blocked by regions . Marcus Sim ( reviewer of Chinese dramas) talks about it and has a deal??????? I am ignorant of these things.
I watch a lot of my Asian dramas and films on subber's sites as I only have one language . Neko Meow Meow completed this drama with english subs. But I just google the title and the term eng subs.
12/15 but you still missed my favorites , 1% of Anything, Another Miss Oh, Cunning Single Lady, Because This is My First Life, Emergency Couple, Top StarYoo Baek and The Tale of Nodku. It all began with Love by Moonlight.
