Tell me.... isn't it illegal to use someone's likeness/character without their consent? especially to advertise/promote…
In most countries, yes. It irked me a bit that they handwaved that aspect. They tried to cover it by having the store use Tammy's likeness to promote ONLY Tammy-approved products, but it did not work for the story.
Even a short scene of them asking her if they could use "Tammy-endorsed" on a single high-margin product, & her subsequently giving them permission to use her brand to promote whatever products she's liked in the last X# of months. would've put that issue to bed quite simply.
I am really enjoying this series but the iQIYI subs are killing me. In a show where language plays such an important role to context, subtext, & humour—not to mention it's an actual plot point—it's blatantly obvious that A LOT is lost in the poor translation.
Anyone watching this anywhere with higher quality translations?
Again, Wit, HOW are you alive? They left you unconscious on the floor in a room engulfed by flames in a building that subsequently exploded. The show keeps insisting you are not dead, & you keep doing alive people stuff, but I am just pretty sure you were killed in aforementioned exploding inferno. Your continued existence is...distracting.
Awkward & meandering, & I couldn't list three things about the plot, but everyone got a happy ending, so good for them. I will have no memory of having watched this one.
This is my biggest gripe with the series. Their relationship is built on straws. We should've seen them bond more.…
I wasn't even convinced Lee Jun was interested in having a relationship, full stop. The confession caught me by total surprise. I rewound it to make sure I heard correctly because it really did come out of nowhere.
Kang's redemption arc better have him paying for his behaviour, curing cancer, rescuing a basket of kittens from a blazing inferno, & a receiving a massive dose of therapy. Falsley accusing someone of paedophilia & then going to their house to threaten them with a gun because you feel disrespected is flatout sociopathic. I'm all for the "Dangerous" but the series better actually earn the "Romance"; along with mature themes, please give us mature consequences.
Name is about as intimidating as a Maltese puppy but I hope we get a scene of him taking his two goons to task over what looks like an unsanctioned act of violence (& were those idiots drunk?). He strikes me as the kind of boss who frowns on having his word sullied.
Apparently Gu Buxia's great destiny is to get laid. I feel like Grandpa would be proud.
I could watch 10 more episodes of these two figuring out how to care for one another without undermining one another's autonomy. Especially Lord Lecturer Jiang Chi who is very "Do as I say, not as I do". I know he probably didn't want to tell Gu Buxia because he knows how worried Gu Buxia is about being perceived as just using Jiang Chi but, still: you JUST told your boyfriend how important it is to use your words & openly communicate. Take your own lesson, sir. I'm sure Gu Buxia would've been stubborn at first but I seriously doubt he would have outright refused once you seduced him with logic. & your penis.
Ah, only one episode left. I'm really going to miss this series.
Also, for a series called "Jun & Jun", we're spending markedly little time with them. They've had, what, four or five scenes together, just the two of them, since the series started? We've spent more quality time with the Gossipy Bitches than the leads have with one another.
I had to laugh when Kim asked if it was really 2023, and all his asst said was yes. All i could think was - Kim…
My eyebrows shot all the way up when that received zero follow-up questions. I also thought he either 1. hates Kim, or 2. Kim just wakes up like that every morning.
There was absolutely no cake in that cakebox. That cakebox was empty, completely devoid of anything tasty or tantalizing, just like the series it's in.
If you liked "Why R U", just rewatch the Thai version. If you're trying to get a MaxNat hit while you're waiting on "Naughty Babe", go watch their "Cutie Pie" supercuts on YouTube.
This Korean remake is ridiculously neutered, even for a basic KBL.
Minato: Listen, ever since I stepped into the whirlwind of being your lover... it feels like I'm being drowned…
How do we get you hired as an official, paid translator for Japanese BLs? Whom do we have to beg, bribe, or bully to make it happen? I will get on the next plane to Japan.
There's a spoiler of the next episode and......I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY WENT JACK O'FROST ROUTE!!! I'm so mad :(
I've been skipping the previews of the upcoming episode because the series itself has been so repetitive, but I went back to watch it on this episode because of your comment.
If they are actually going to go the direction it appears they plan to go, I might literally vomit from rage.
In an interview , Mile and Apo have requested viewers to not perceive this film as BL. They said if one goes with…
Yes, I saw them prevaricating in that interview too. All the non-answers to direct questions is unnecessary. I'm beginning to suspect there is no love story here, & no one wants to just say it because they're afraid of losing the "KinnPorsche" fanbase.
I just want to manage my expectations. A sweeping, costume drama epic full of mystery & intrigue is right up my alley, but it's a perfectly fair question to ask if the company created to produce a BL, & the two leads who swept to fame on BL, have made a BL movie.
I am throwing all the confetti for Shu. He's making such an effort: asking for clarification when he doesn't understand, letting his feelings guide his actions, demonstrating his trust in his partner by taking Asuka's cues when he isn't certain what to do. All of it must be so overwhelming for Shu but he is bravely, so very bravely, not letting his fears or confusions control him. &, of course, props to Asuka for not only his patience but his temperance. He, also, appears to be making efforts to adjust to Shu. It's like Shu kicked himself up a couple gears, & Asuka downshifted a few, & they're finding their shared rhythm.
As for those other two...well, I don't care. I just don't care. I hadn't realized exactly how done I am with Minato & Shin until this episode. I was almost excited after the hot springs scene, when I thought it might lead to Shin finally leaving Minato. Then what happened, happened, & I was severely disappointed. After one season + 7.25 episodes of Minato's juvenile nonsense & Shin's pathetic devotion, it's just too late (especially when it required Minato to be inebriated to do something that basic—& then try to lie about it the next day, for fuck's sake). Stay together, don't stay together, I am completely uninvested at this point.

"I like you"—since when? I bloody well missed it.

Thank you. That was literally all BOC ever had to say. Now I have my expectations set, & I'm looking forward to seeing the film.
