Title Jun & Jun
This is my biggest gripe with the series. Their relationship is built on straws. We should've seen them bond more.…
I wasn't even convinced Lee Jun was interested in having a relationship, full stop. The confession caught me by total surprise. I rewound it to make sure I heard correctly because it really did come out of nowhere.

"I like you"—since when? I bloody well missed it.

Title Dangerous Romance Spoiler
Kang's redemption arc better have him paying for his behaviour, curing cancer, rescuing a basket of kittens from a blazing inferno, & a receiving a massive dose of therapy. Falsley accusing someone of paedophilia & then going to their house to threaten them with a gun because you feel disrespected is flatout sociopathic. I'm all for the "Dangerous" but the series better actually earn the "Romance"; along with mature themes, please give us mature consequences.

Name is about as intimidating as a Maltese puppy but I hope we get a scene of him taking his two goons to task over what looks like an unsanctioned act of violence (& were those idiots drunk?). He strikes me as the kind of boss who frowns on having his word sullied.

Apparently Gu Buxia's great destiny is to get laid. I feel like Grandpa would be proud.

I could watch 10 more episodes of these two figuring out how to care for one another without undermining one another's autonomy. Especially Lord Lecturer Jiang Chi who is very "Do as I say, not as I do". I know he probably didn't want to tell Gu Buxia because he knows how worried Gu Buxia is about being perceived as just using Jiang Chi but, still: you JUST told your boyfriend how important it is to use your words & openly communicate. Take your own lesson, sir. I'm sure Gu Buxia would've been stubborn at first but I seriously doubt he would have outright refused once you seduced him with logic. & your penis.

Ah, only one episode left. I'm really going to miss this series.

This is all just so unnecessary.

Also, for a series called "Jun & Jun", we're spending markedly little time with them. They've had, what, four or five scenes together, just the two of them, since the series started? We've spent more quality time with the Gossipy Bitches than the leads have with one another.

My eyebrows shot all the way up when that received zero follow-up questions. I also thought he either 1. hates Kim, or 2. Kim just wakes up like that every morning.

"... it’s more like a bromance".

Thank you. That was literally all BOC ever had to say. Now I have my expectations set, & I'm looking forward to seeing the film.

Title Why R U?
There was absolutely no cake in that cakebox. That cakebox was empty, completely devoid of anything tasty or tantalizing, just like the series it's in.

If you liked "Why R U", just rewatch the Thai version. If you're trying to get a MaxNat hit while you're waiting on "Naughty Babe", go watch their "Cutie Pie" supercuts on YouTube.

This Korean remake is ridiculously neutered, even for a basic KBL.

There's no way they are going to give Shin amnesia. I hope we don't get a sad ending
I suppose it depends on one's definition of a "sad ending". Shin forgetting all about Minato & moving on would be a happy ending for me.

Minato: Listen, ever since I stepped into the whirlwind of being your lover... it feels like I'm being drowned…
How do we get you hired as an official, paid translator for Japanese BLs? Whom do we have to beg, bribe, or bully to make it happen? I will get on the next plane to Japan.

There's a spoiler of the next episode and......I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY WENT JACK O'FROST ROUTE!!! I'm so mad :(
I've been skipping the previews of the upcoming episode because the series itself has been so repetitive, but I went back to watch it on this episode because of your comment.

If they are actually going to go the direction it appears they plan to go, I might literally vomit from rage.

In an interview , Mile and Apo have requested viewers to not perceive this film as BL. They said if one goes with…
Yes, I saw them prevaricating in that interview too. All the non-answers to direct questions is unnecessary. I'm beginning to suspect there is no love story here, & no one wants to just say it because they're afraid of losing the "KinnPorsche" fanbase.

I just want to manage my expectations. A sweeping, costume drama epic full of mystery & intrigue is right up my alley, but it's a perfectly fair question to ask if the company created to produce a BL, & the two leads who swept to fame on BL, have made a BL movie.

I am throwing all the confetti for Shu. He's making such an effort: asking for clarification when he doesn't understand, letting his feelings guide his actions, demonstrating his trust in his partner by taking Asuka's cues when he isn't certain what to do. All of it must be so overwhelming for Shu but he is bravely, so very bravely, not letting his fears or confusions control him. &, of course, props to Asuka for not only his patience but his temperance. He, also, appears to be making efforts to adjust to Shu. It's like Shu kicked himself up a couple gears, & Asuka downshifted a few, & they're finding their shared rhythm.

As for those other two...well, I don't care. I just don't care. I hadn't realized exactly how done I am with Minato & Shin until this episode. I was almost excited after the hot springs scene, when I thought it might lead to Shin finally leaving Minato. Then what happened, happened, & I was severely disappointed. After one season + 7.25 episodes of Minato's juvenile nonsense & Shin's pathetic devotion, it's just too late (especially when it required Minato to be inebriated to do something that basic—& then try to lie about it the next day, for fuck's sake). Stay together, don't stay together, I am completely uninvested at this point.

Just give me more Shu & Asuka!

It’s too expensive! If you’re alive, you’re good. Or at least that’s how it is in the US anyways… lol
LOL! I had to give up on that one. I rewound that scene like seven times & could not figure out how it happened. One minute he's getting wine thrown at his face & then he's on the floor seizing.

I made up headcanon that the bar seats are electrified as part of the security system. Makes as much sense as magic, I guess.

LOL. Oof.

I just could not process the not taking him to see a doctor. Dude owns a whole luxury hotel & has a personal assistant running his life. He is loaded. Surely they can afford one CT scan to make sure the boss isn't going to keel over dead at the next Board meeting or whatever. I'm so disappointed in his assistant; I mean, you have one job, & I think saying, "Hey, boss, we should see someone about your retrograde amnesia & that whole being electrocuted thing" is a pretty significant part of the job.

Especially since the guy who got electrocuted apparently died! Which allowed the other guy's spirit to take over…
That distracted me the whole episode. We the audience know what's happened but as far as any of the characters are aware, the man could have a brain bleed & be about to stroke out. Every time someone just casually mentioned his amnesia, I was shouting at the screen, "Take him to a fucking hospital! What is wrong with you people?!"

So, I sat down & rewatched all episodes to date, & I think I'm getting closer to understanding why this series isn't working for me.

"DSN" had issues but JaFirst thoroughly sold the devoted, passionate, supportive, obsessive love between LeoFiat. I absolutely believed they were a committed, lifelong couple, & that, working as a pair, they helped one another to become the best self they could be.

PunnAshi, not so much.

I cannot figure out what either of them sees in one another that would support an authentic romantic relationship between them. Punn's infatuation with his idol has yet to translate to actual "love" for me, & Ashi remains an enigma. I have no real idea of what Ashi wants, broadly speaking, or why he wants it. His character motivations are opaque but not in an intriguing, let's-unknot-this-tangled-psyche way. Oddly, Punn has the opposite impact on me. I give nothing but applause for Ja's presentation of Punn as a character (no matter how much I dislike the archetype Ja is playing), as Ja's actually managed to imbue layers to Punn's thoughts & actions. I don't like Punn as a character but I do understand him; I get why he is the way he is, I can contextualize his often infantile behaviour, & I see that he is on an actual path of growth. I fully expect that, by the end of the series, Punn will be a far more mature, focused, and self-aware person, & I will BELIEVE in that transformation because Ja is doing his utmost in selling it.

First, on the other hand, seems to have had all the personality & talent strangled out of his portrayal of Ashi. This really could be a compelling character but...well, David Bigander happened all over poor First. And, yes, I absolutely blame the director, because both Ja & First have the acting chops necessary to make these characters work, individually & together. Bigander, on the other hand, is a hack. I am convinced Bigander is sabotaging his writers, actors, & crew members with every project he takes on. It's the only way to explain how he manages to so thoroughly squander all the talent both in front of & behind the camera.

I feel if this series had a better director, the material would've worked. It's not that the series itself is fundamentally bad, it's just really poorly directed. To contrast this series with a newly airing show, "Love in Translation" managed to establish in the first episode precisely the dynamic that will underline the main couple's individual character development & ultimate romantic relationship: the idol-obsessed, free-spirited Phumjai will get the stern, buttoned-down Yang Yen Feng to loosen up, & Yang Yen Feng will get Phumjai to grow up. Every interaction between the two had both text & subtext, & made their puerile altercations engaging rather than monotonous. I'm not saying it was a great episode, just that it managed to do in its single first episode what "Be Mine SuperStar" hasn't managed in eight.

In terms of the sex present in this series—look, if you're giving us all that with MueangDoctor, you cannot dial back the intensity on PunnAshi. MueangDoctor are having grown-ass-men sex; PunnAshi are having fluffy fanfic encounters. I had the same issue with "Bed Friend"; sex-as-communication done all wrong. MueangDoctor are so much more interesting as the second couple because there is a lingua franca that exists when they are physically intimate that it's obvious they're working toward when they're not. THAT is keeping my interest. The two of them are in absolute sync when it comes to sex; how will they translate that into an emotional tie?

I will finish the series to the end because I like JaFirst but I am so disappointed that this is their last project as a CP.

Is someone else directing the sex scenes between the second couple? If so, I wish they were directing them for the main couple too. I have no idea how David Bigander has managed to so thoroughly strip JaFirst of the incredible sexual electricity they had in "DSN". In & out of bed, PunnAshi have about as much sexual tension & physical magnetism as an overripe discount avocado.

I think the director is trying to create contrast between the raw, lustful animalism of the second couple & the sweet, tender lovemaking of the mains, but all he's managed to do is make the PunnAshi story even MORE boring & insipid by comparison. I can practically hear the director off-screen shouting at JaFirst, "Less passionate! Don't get too enthusiastic! Pretend you're at the dentist!"
