In my years of watching dramas, this drama will go down in history as one of the dramas that I cried the most. I guess crying is an understatement, I bawled like a child till my nose got blocked and I couldn't breathe. I knew what I was getting to while I started watching this but that did not discourage me from watching. As usual we humans are our own enemies.
I am watching EP 19 and LZ told JY the truth about JL's death. Does anyone think its okay to tell that to a troubled teenager that its starting to get better? What do you guys think?
I really enjoyed this series, and I’m glad I watched it. That said, the title for the most foolish kings in C-dramas definitely goes to the Kings of Yanan and Beixun. Honestly, if they had been evil and smart, it would’ve been more bearable—but being both foolish and evil? Just downright frustrating!
Qiming, oh Qiming… my heart aches for him. He was so full of joy, convinced he was about to marry Jun Qilou—you could see it in every gesture, the way he held her hands, the light in his eyes. But then, that heartbreaking moment when he lifted the veil and realized it was the princess instead… his smile fading, his heart shattering in silence.
He kept lying to the king, risking everything to protect Jun Qilou. That sad smile, those sorrowful eyes, as if he already knew his fate was sealed. His life hanging by a thread, yet he still whispered to the princess, “I will always listen to you.”
I cried so much when he died. Even the princess, whom I did not like, seemed pitiful in that moment.
