you don't like the drama? well thats fine. But calling someone ugly is not really the right thing to do my friend.…
Well said, Corona Virus :) Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. 'Single eyelids' are considered exotic and unique. I understand looks are important but I wished people would watch dramas for the plot and acting and not brutally criticise nastily how actors look. If Rosella don't like 'single eyelids', i think you should stop watching Asian dramas because I can guarantee you in every Asian drama, there will be a few with single eyelids lol.
I loved this drama, loved all the leads and to me they were all very attractive. I read the book as well. Such a shame no season 2 yet, and yes due to the plagiarism issues against the writer.
I really liked him as an actor and thought it was a shame all the stuff that happened and he had to leave the entertainment industry. He is an awesome actor. Am Happy to see him back. Just hope he has cleaned up his personal life so it doesn't ruin his career again.
Is the 2006 version ”Return of the Condor Heroes” starring Huang Xiao Ming and Crystal Liu worth watching…
No, they look good but acting is B grade. It was so bad, I had to drop it. 2014 version is just as bad too. Michelle Chen looks nothing like XLN should be. I also couldn't watch that one. Let's hope this new one is much better!
Hi, I have a question about this drama's novel. I've seen two versions of it and it's confusing because there…
The one with the 191 chapters is closest to the Chinese novel I think. It's translated by Angela Chua. I tried reading it but the English wasn't very good lol. I'm more particular about grammar, and I found it a bit messy to understand. The other 292 chapters is translated by Nyoi-Bo Studio with much better English grammar , vocabulary and sentence structuring but it doesn't follow the original chapter naming I think. The latter one, the chapter translations are unfinished.
I also love watching HKDrama but I agree the quality is not as they use to be. To me, it really feel more comfortable…
I agree with you. Some jokes when translated just doesn't match the Cantonese meaning. It's not just the jokes, it's also certain phrases. Some phrases sound nicer in Cantonese than Mandarin and the vibe is lost when translated into English.
I'm watching Al Capuccino at the moment. There are new actors in there. Crystal Fung is new to me lol. Maybe because I don't watch that much HK dramas now, I'm bit behind who has been around.
I can tell it's dubbed because I know what the HK actors actual voices sound like. And even if I don't know what they sound like, dubbed voices have that funny mix in it. Can't explain it but if you understand Cantonese, you can tell.
I grew up watching HK dramas. They used to do really good Wuxia ones but yeah have switched more focus to Police and undercover now. Maybe because it costs more to do Wuxia. I also love watching Kdramas and some Cdramas but I will find myself coming back once in a while to HK dramas because I miss the language and the feel. Although HK is small, the talent is good. Luckily, I don't need to rely on subs to watch but it does help for some of the more complicated words :)
I like RY. I feel he is as deserving of JM as was XF. The only difference is that JM likes XF. If she liked RY, it would be a totally different story. Who hasn't done stuff that is a bit selfish for love, huh? They are all great actors, but Leo Luo played his character so exceptionally well.
How can Annie Liu play Kwok Fu, when the series was out in 1983, and she is born in 1981??! Lol. Wrong actress. The actress that played Kwok Fu was On-Lai Liu, born 1957.
