Feels like half a season
TLDR: This feels like half a season.
I was a bit worried when the last episode started and we were no closer to solving the zombie problem than we were in episode one. By the end of the last episode, I was left feeling like the series went from nothing to nowhere. The biggest advancement was done by Group B, more specifically by Nat's character, who's more of a science genius than our protagonist. But that's not a critique of her, since 90% of the characters are dumb, dumb, dumb. Plus, they are very unlikable or annoying. Group B, with Nat, Poppy, Tutor, and Tonnam, was way more interesting than the main group, except when they were discussing the family bond of the cheer team.
One of my biggest problems with the show is the lack of likable characters. People don't all have to be good or nice, but a series needs some charismatic main characters. Ning is very unlikable, and so is Jean. Also, I feel like the show tries to make us believe Ning is a genius, when she's just part of the game being played by her mom, the professor, and the patron. She found the already-done research that mentioned the jellyfish; she didn't find out about the effect of the mushroom, nor about the importance of temperature, or about the zombie mother. Plus, she got on that helicopter pretty quickly.
