The real husband made it clear he doesn’t embrace women. They both made it clear before entering the marriage. She was fine with his situation and would have lived with it if he truly was around, which is why she’s going so hard for the family by neglecting her needs and also being shielded and a shield for them. The storyteller loves her for who she is that’s why he never forces her instead he initiates his intentions. Regardless of her husband being different, you have to remember she’s still married and have to be virtuous 😒.
