I want to watch the ep8 and everyone is so happy about this ep I feel blessed. I would be depressed if this drama ends in a tragic way, Hijiri and Akira are such lovable characters, I just want them to be happy and get what they want and deserve -each others-.

I was just thinking, maybe Akira will become a writer ? He met Hijiri cause she’s teaching the language and they grew closer during their relationship thanks to some poems ( Hijiri kind of fall in love when he understands the Chinese poem in the car when it’s raining outside ).
So maybe he’ll tell their story that way, through a book or... idk.
I’m so terrified of a tragic ending, I’m thinking about every possibilities

I think they might; Japanese love to punish their hero if he did something wrong but both already paid by being apart and still do cause Hijiri is forcing herself to date the teacher.
So if they always restrain themselves to end up apart... what’s the point ?
Akira is 18 now. He can decide.
But I think we may have another time gap. Maybe Akira will be over 20 for Hijira to finally accept him. Idk. I just want them to enjoy their love and I want to see them happy

I will kill the writer if they don't end up together I swear. They love each other too much to let go so I will never believe in this kind of ending

In the Jdrama the brother was very often on screen yes. More than the main couple, I remember cause I was pretty annoyed too but he kind of has the role of the narrator

I really loved the japanese one but thanks to the male main lead, he's an amazing actor.
Here I love every characters, they interpret the characters in a different way, I love it.
Hope it'll not crash in the end tho, I would be sad .

Really curious about the relationship the leads will have. Romance ? Or something else ? It would be a big change from the usual kdramas... the plot in the jdrama may not be acceptable in Korea, and that's sad, cause it makes the leads's love forbidden and much more toxic ( the drama itself is toxic ) . To not have my heart broken again, I think I'll wait for the drama to end to be sure about the end.

I'm also wondering that... I didn't finish the show ( I'm at the ep 9 ) but no answer yet. My guess is that he fell in love when he was young, then something happened for Nok to hate him ( cause she looked like she didn't hate him when she was a child ) and both went abroad to study. There he met Khae, I think we wasn't in love with her, he just liked her so when she chose to leave him he was okay ( he probably just felt betrayed ). But I'm quite sure he was in love with Nok all these years, he was just very patient and was waiting to catch her. The fire returned when they meet again after several years. But I really hope they will explain that !
