I was actually confused toward the ending. Some people said Haxia died, while others said he didn’t. I don’t think he died, but then how did he disappear? Why wasn’t he shown in the final part, especially when his shifu was still alive after being rescued by Zhang Qiling? I’ve read so many theories about this, but honestly, I don’t know which one is actually true.

I’m still only on Episode 7, and I really hope I’m not going to drop this drama halfway through because it has 47 episodes. I really hope the story will be worth it and that I’ll make it all the way to the end.
I actually waited three weeks for this drama to finish because it kept showing up on my tiktok FYP. Every now and then, I’d check the drama’s MDL page just to look at the episode countdown, always thinking, when is this drama finally going to end? Why is it taking so long?” And when the drama finally released its express package, I was like, FINALLY. I can actually watch it now.
Btw, one thing I really like about this drama so far is that it doesn’t seem to focus too much on the FL getting revenge. What matters most to her is simply surviving and continuing to live her life.
For me, that feels quite refreshing because usually the protagonist will eventually seek revenge and pay everyone back. But that doesn’t seem to be the FL’s priority here. She just wants to move forward and live her life, and I really like that about her.
Of course, I’m still only on Episode 7, so I don’t know how the story will develop from here. But based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m really liking it. Hopefully, I’ll actually survive all 47 episodes and won’t end up dropping it halfway.

This drama is pretty much your typical xianxia drama lots of characters die, and towards the end, everyone inevitably has to come together to fight a villain who wants to destroy the world. Honestly, I’m okay with that trope, but the final episodes felt extremely rushed.
How can all the sects come together so easily when they need to capture the FL at the beginning of the drama, but when it comes to the final battle, some of them are suddenly nowhere to be seen? Where was Jin Lun? He clearly cared about Sheng, yet he wasn’t even there during the final battle. Even though Sheng used him a lot and he was fed up with her, I still think he should have at least been there for the final battle. It just didn’t make much sense.
Usually, when a villain is trying to destroy the world, you would expect the destruction to actually affect the people and the world around them. But in the finale, it felt like nothing really happened. I thought at least the ordinary people would suffer or that there would be some aftermath, and maybe people would eventually talk about the sacrifices and the people who fought to save them. But apparently, the common people weren’t even affected and didn’t seem to know that a battle between good and evil had taken place.
And the way the ML fought the villain in the final episode genuinely confused me. Like… THAT’S IT? Yes, the ML became incredibly powerful after receiving the spiritual power so I understand that he was supposed to be overwhelmingly strong. But the villain was the leader of one of the most powerful sects (I can’t remember which sect he was the leader of, but I think it was something like the Heavenly Sect? ), so how did he just get defeated by the ML casually sending his sword flying towards him? And then… he was dead. Just like that.
Like, the villain literally died just because the ML sent his sword flying at him… After all that.. THAT was the final fight??
I was expecting a proper final battle after all that build up, sacrifices, and power ups ,I really expected the final battle to be much more intense and satisfying. but… that was it? The fight ended way too quickly.
And honestly, why is cdrama so obsessed with killing characters at the end? It doesn’t matter whether they die while fighting the villain or sacrificing themselves for the greater good there always has to be someone dying in this kind of xianxia drama. At this point, I’m already used to it so I'm okey with it but I really wish directors of these kinds of dramas would think twice before killing off half the cast just for emotional impact.
Sometimes, a happy ending doesn’t need to come at the cost of so many sacrifices. So far, the only xianxia drama I’ve watched where nobody really dies except the villain is Love of Divine Tree
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. The storyline was interesting, the characters were enjoyable to watch, and the OST was definitely one of the highlights for me. There were quite a few emotional moments that actually got to me, and despite some flaws here and there, I had a good time watching it. It’s definitely not a perfect drama, but I’m still glad I watched it and would say it was worth the time.
Xie Wei is such a red flag (I’m not going to spoil anything, you’ll have to watch it yourself) , but I still can’t help falling for him because he takes such good care of the female lead (I forgot her name). Luckily it’s only in the drama if someone like him existed in real life, it would actually be pretty scary.

I guess you should stop at Episode 28 if you can’t handle it, then just rewatch from Episode 1 . Because the closer you get to the ending, the more angst there is. For me, it feels more like an open ending with a lot of unanswered questions, and there are definitely hints that there might be a Season 2. The only problem is… we don’t even know when Season 2 is coming.
I'm on episode 27, only 3 episodes left. People said there's a hint toward Season 2, but with Cdramas, I guess I'll have to wait 12304749 years for Season 2 to come out. Maybe I should become immortal first so I can actually live long enough to watch it 😂
Finally, it’s completed! I’ve been waiting for this drama to finish, but from the clips I’ve seen on tiktok . It seems like there may not be much mutual understanding between the ML and FL.
I don’t really care about the conflicts. What matters to me is whether the FL and ML are there for each other throughout the story. Do they support each other, understand each other, and genuinely have each other’s backs?
Please let me know before I decide whether to watch it or skip it.
I have a question. Will the real owner, Shen Xi He, ever return to her own body? I read some comments and watched a few tiktok videos, but many people said the story never explains what happened to the real Shen Xi He.
If that's true, I honestly feel really sad for her. Imagine someone taking over your life, while all the memories and experiences you cherished are lived by someone else. The person who took over your body gets to live the life that was supposed to be yours, while you simply disappear. It feels so unfair, and I can't help but feel sorry for the real Shen Xi He.
