Last time I checked, the rating was 7.9 but now it’s going down. Is this drama worth watching? I heard it has a happy ending, so I’m thinking of giving it a try.
I started watching this drama, but not wanting to expose myself to another heartache of the ending, I decided…
Same here! I'm currently at episode 20 and still hesitating whether to continue or drop it. The main reason? The ending. I'm actually fine if they don't end up together due to being from different worlds (Only those who watched that drama will understand what I'm talking about) as long as nobody dies. But this drama… sigh. That’s why I’m seriously considering dropping it.
I admit, the CGI and storyline are quite okey for me, but I just can’t deal with tragic endings. For you I’ll recommend Love Like the Galaxy instead it’s one of the few C-dramas I can still think about without feeling drained.
Yeah, after ep 17, it just went downhill 😭 The deaths were too much!! And when everyone else was dying and…
Haha, I don’t remember how many episodes I watched, but this was during the time I had just signed up on MDL. Back then, I felt guilty dropping dramas, so I marked some of them as “completed” even though I didn’t actually finish them. But now, after some time, I don’t really care anymore. I probably forgot to update the number of episodes I dropped but maybe I’ll go back and edit it next time.
I really wanted to finish this drama. I liked how the female lead started from the bottom as a pearl slave and…
Before watching this, I already got spoiled that the male lead was going to die. I thought I could handle it since I was in the mood for a sad drama, so I decided to give it a try. I made it to episode 14, and so far, I genuinely liked the story. But around episode 13 or 14 (I can't remember exactly), the characters went to Wuling and stopped to rest somewhere. That night, everyone looked so happy and carefree.
And as we all know with cdramas when characters seem too happy, something tragic is probably coming. So I checked tt, and turns out I was right. Almost all the characters died! Only Duanwu, Yan (sorry, I forgot the male lead’s name), his best friend, and the second male lead survived. Duanwu’s younger brother and the rest were all gone. I was like… what?!
I really thought I could handle it, but nope. I had to drop the drama for the sake of my mental health 🥲. Moonlight Mystique already wrecked me with all the supporting characters dying. I just can’t go through that again. It’s not that I dislike the drama I just can’t bear losing so many of my favorite characters 😭😭.
I really wanted to finish this drama. I liked how the female lead started from the bottom as a pearl slave and slowly overcame her hardships. But unfortunately, I had to drop it at episode 14. Spoiler below.
I’m currently on episode 18, and honestly, there are still a few parts I don’t quite understand. So if anyone…
Actually, what exactly is Pei Dafu’s faction? Why are they trying to arrest his adopted son? And how is all this related to the factory? ( sorry, I can’t remember the name of the factory ). Was it because Pei Dafu once led a rebellion, and now they’re trying to capture the remaining members of his group?
Sorry if I’m asking too many questions. I’ve been watching the drama, but I still don’t really understand who Pei Dafu is.
I’m currently on episode 18, and honestly, there are still a few parts I don’t quite understand. So if anyone else has watched this drama, I’d appreciate some clarification. Spoiler below!
Finally, it’s available on iqiyi with proper subtitles! I actually watched part of this drama before but couldn’t finish it because viki wasn’t available in my region, so I tried watching it on mangotv when it first came out. I still remember laughing so hard at the confusing subtitles like “Queen of England,” what was that even? 😂 Because of that, I stopped watching. But now that it’s on iqiyi with clearer subtitles, I can finally give it another proper watch!
Seems like Chuang is kinda obsessed with putting numbers in ground names 🥴
Yesterday, when I saw the group name, I was thinking "Next1de"? Seriously? I don't even know how to pronounce it and I don't even know what the name means.
So, I watched both Starlight Boys and Chuang Asia, and honestly, they’re completely different in vibe. Chuang Asia had no unnecessary drama, fair screen time for the trainees, and in terms of promotion . It felt pretty solid as a survival show. I mean, the trainees haven’t even debuted yet, but they already had fan meetings in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. That’s quite impressive!
Meanwhile, Starlight Boys on iqiyi … I don’t even know where to begin. So much drama, especially the whole mess in episode 2 that led many people to boycott the show.. But I still kept watching because of my fave group, Polarix
In Chuang Asia, all the trainees were so talented, it was honestly hard to choose who should debut. It was genuinely tough to pick who should debut. That’s why it’s disappointing that only 7 members made it. Why not 9? So many skilled trainees were left out. Did wetv run out of budget or what?
Also, the debut group name... it’s just weird. Like seriously, what’s with the number? (Not gonna spoil it, but you’ll know when you see it.)
Back when I was young, I really loved this drama. I even dreamed of having a guy like Irie Naoki. But as I grew older, I rewatched some clips on tt and still remembered the episodes.
Watching it again, I realized that Irie Naoki is such a red flag. Like, why is Kotoko chasing after a guy who doesn’t even appreciate her when the second lead clearly treats her better? At least the second lead genuinely cares for her, values her.
As for Irie Naoki, all I can say is that he’s a total red flag with a terrible attitude. Sure, the female lead, Kotoko, is clumsy, but he keeps calling her “baka, baka” (which means stupid). Who are you to call someone stupid just because you’re smarter than her? Especially when Kotoko sacrificed so much for him.
As for Kotoko, I don’t get why she keeps running after someone who treats her that way. If this happened in real life, I’d probably be speechless. Looking back, I can’t believe I used to like this drama so much. Maybe I was just too young to see the issues back then.
Also, the real life age gap between the actors when this was filmed... yeah, I’d rather not comment on that.
Ps : Anyway, no offense to anyone, this is just my personal opinion!
okay don’t you guys think the last two episodes was off😭😭 how dare you defy emperor ?? not governor lol…
I just started watching, but can someone please tell me how he ended up in the Dafeng world? Was it through a game or a novel? I don’t really understand that part.

blossom
in the name of blossom(name of the title flourished season 2 )
blossoming love
blossom of darkness
in blossom
I don’t know why, but it feels like c-dramas these days are obsessed with the name “Blossom.” There are just too many titles using it lately.
