the episode schedule shows an mermaid emoji under 43-44. I went into this show thinking FL was going to be a mermaid. Was pretty let down.

A Eunuch isn’t a man? I think the biggest difference here with this adaptation is that their relationship being adoptive father and daughter would have been too taboo and wouldn’t pass the censors. Teacher and disciple relations are just skimming that line already. From previous spoilers it seems besides the definition of the relationship between the two characters nothing changes on how ML felt about the FL. Only that he never got the chance to tell her.

Zhou Youdu. Before his appearance in episode 10 he was named dropped in episode 6 as the 14th son of Marquis Wuxiang.

The wound gets transferred to our ML. In episode 1 the Emperor was shot with a poison arrow and the exact placement of the wound showed up on the ML’s body. Later when the Emperor took off his armor there was not even a mark on his skin. But our ML experienced even the poison that was on the arrow.
