I didn't watched any Chinese drama but this is my first Chinese drama I watched. I liked it so much it was so…
Hey there! You’re so lucky to have this as your first Chinese drama—you’ve basically hit the 2025 costume drama jackpot! This show is hands down my top pick of the year, and I totally get why you’re obsessed with the male lead—his acting is chef’s kiss and he brings such charm to the role!
As a die-hard fan of ML, I recommend you to check Deng Wei’s profile page on this site for his past and upcoming works. Maybe Lost You Forever could be your “next watch”—I became his fan from this drama. The character is totally different from SYS and you will know how brilliant he is. Also please stay tuned for his upcoming works! And the best part?No two characters feel even remotely similar, which means every new show of his is a total surprise.

Me too. It's almost 26 I can't help missing him. Deng Wei is my most favorite.
He is such a great and talented actor. I love all the characters he played! I know him from Tushan Jing and now I’m also into Su Yishui. I’m so proud of him. He never lets me down.

I went back and rewatched everything, plus reread the novel; let me tell y'all, I’m glad that Deng Wei chose…
Indeed. No one else can be Su Yi Shui! Thanks for sharing.
Btw, about the casting, it has been a widely spread rumor, but it was officially denied in the director’s latest interview. According to the director Yin Tao, Deng Wei was always the only choice for Su Yi Shui. He stated, "When we were creating the character Su Yi Shui, we had Deng Wei in mind from the start. His cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside personality is a perfect match. When we first met Weizi (Deng Wei‘s nickname), he had already read the novel and had a deep understanding of Su Yi Shui, so we immediately decided he was the one."
Here is the original interview Q&A(https://weibo.com/6192935507/Pg4m6tBWZ) and the director replied with a pic(http://t.cn/A61lJm8W). I tried to translate Deng Wei's part from Chinese. Hope it makes sense.:)

Yes! They actually planted 620 trees, not just 30! 🌱🌳 It’s such a meaningful gesture—planting trees in his hometown as a way to celebrate both his 30th birthday and his first drama as the ML in LOTDT! Truly a romantic way to show support. 🥹🫶💖

It's been over a year since I watched a Wuxia drama with a good ending. Past year or so been many sad endings.…
I totally get what you mean! Lately, a lot of Wuxia dramas have had bittersweet or tragic endings, so it was really refreshing to watch one with a satisfying conclusion. I also didn't expect it to have so much comedy, but I ended up having a lot of fun with it! Definitely one of the best this year. :)

He looks like a GORGEOUS 80s star. 😍🤩
I know about Louis Koo from TVB dramas and Hong Kong movies:). I think both Kimura and Louis Koo are actors with handsome looks and strong acting skills. Just a wish of mine— I hope Deng Wei can also grow into an actor like them, leaving behind many classic works and roles.

Do you mean the advance screening exclusively for IQiYi subscribers? There is no official announcement yet.
Yes. It happens for most dramas on iQiYi if not all. Generally, when there are six or four episodes left, subscribers can pay a certain fee to watch all the remaining episodes. If this Divine Tree continues to update two episodes per day, we are likely to watch all the episodes as early as this weekend. Awaiting for the official notice..

If I get a cat, I will name it Xiao Shui in honour of Big Meow Meow Wei. LOL 🐈😻
🤣Haha, good idea. Can you imagine how many Xiao Shui cats out there in China right now?Because Deng Wei imitates cats so vividly, many netizens shared their pet cat videos on social networks, forcing their own pet cat to admit that they are Su Yishui. 😜

Yes!! Many fans mentioned that his handsome face reminds them of the 80s stars. 80s was the golden age of Chinese and even Asian film and television dramas. Some typical stars, for example: Gu Tianle and Takuya Kimura.

Some coffee with Weiwei ? ☕😀I think this could be a new series of ads for the Positive Hotel brand Weiwei…
Positive Hotel coffee has been very supportive of Deng Wei as its spokesperson. It not only helps to promote the drama LDT, but also arranges some cheering events in many shopping malls to celebrate Weiwei's birthday. I have changed my daily coffee to PH. 😂 This is my way to express my gratitude.

Thx for sharing about Thai dramas and introducing me to *boran*—I’d never heard of it before! Honestly, I don’t watch many Thai series, but it’s amazing to learn how diverse their genres are and their interests in wuxia.😊

Great! And I was surprised to find that even many male audiences are watching this drama? I suspect that they are not here for the romance plot, but prefer the XianXia or WuXia concept in this drama. Kongfu and fight scenes are really amazing!
