You do realize it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows that was presented right? He was being beaten and assaulted, he was in pain. Call it what you will, sex work or not, it was extremely violent, which is never a good thing.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Stuck the landing. Now I'm sad it's all done with. This will definitely be something I'm going to jump on and rewatch immediately, that's how much I enjoyed it.

The actors deserve a huge round of applause, truly. High quality series in all aspects of the word. I don't think I'm going to find something similar to this at all (for the record, this is the first bl I've started and actually finished/was fully interested from beginning to end. As dark as this one was, it wasn't cheesy, which was perfect.)

I can't do a 5 year timeskippp 😭 it's going to be so weird lol I don't understand how they're going to pull that off in all honesty, as much as I'm oddly enjoying the show.

Hopefully they both come to their senses eventually though. I bet you Dan killed Put because 1, he's competition for Ljane, 2, he hates Bjane. (P.S, I'm kiiiind of sad Put died. Not because of his actions (e.g trying to make non consensual moves upon Ljane), but because his actor's so darn cute and was entertaining to watch, regardless of character personality.

One thing I find quite hilarious about this show is that Bjane is supposedly a master manipulator and knows psychology etc. but never practices any of it apparently. He could sweet talk Ljane easily then and get what he wants, or even simply know how to explain himself in a calm and collected manner to avoid suspicion besides staring and saying "I didn't do it, trust me", but he never does hahaha

I also have to point out that definitely from the very first "pilot" they released, they've taken a completely different route than that. Instead of the lovey dovey beginning (which we kind of needed, relationship seemed rushed for only hanging around each other for 2 episodes and then all this drama) we were shown and more possessive behaviors from Bjane, we got an angsty version where Ljane is always upset at Bjane for some dumb reason lol

I'm enjoying it though, it's a dark kind of plot and it's delivering with the vibes.

So in other words, Ljane needs to learn to read the room and not spout off whatever he feels like impulsively and Bjane needs anger management classes.

Ok, I haven't had time to get to this new episode and will have to in a handful of hours so don't spoil EVERYTHING for me lol but is this where the 5 year time skip will probably happen? I saw some slight spoilers by accident that bj left a note and then skidaddled? 🤧

Edit: if there really is a big time skip, I may personally just wait two weeks to continue the show so it jumps right back into where *hopefullyyyy* he'll pop back up somewhere in episode 7, that way I won't be so heartbroken over here.

I'm scarred with how terribly they screwed up Sweet Home that nothing could compare with that mess up 😭 now if something goes a bit off course, I don't even bat an eye, because it definitely could be worse.

Oh yeah, they're nothing like Lu Feng so the main pairing isn't completely forcing themselves on one another like he did.

Those sponsors sure are terrible and disturbing to watch I'll say!

I'm noticing this too, from what I'm aware of due to hearsay, it's delivering the dark plot it already was based off of. It's probably not best for the faint of heart to watch it in the first place.

It's funny too because it's sad but true that most bls contain a certain degree of assaulting and nonconsensual touching If we're being honest here. It's nothing new, although it shouldn't be, yes. Honestly considering how bad other ones I can think of are that aren't supposed to be dark, this is nothing. There's some of that that probably shouldn't be there and done differently if Jay really does want Sun to face his feelings, but it is what it is.

There's a lot more to it than romance too like you said and I completely agree, I'm interested in the actual plot as a whole because it sheds light on how evil the entertainment industry can be and the people involved in it who aren't on the up and up.

The acting is surprisingly very very good too from *kind of* rookies. Like seriously impressive.

I kind of (take it with a grain of salt) find it to be like a better Twilight. Hate to compare it to that because Twilight is so stupid and I was forced to watch them, but this is actually like an interesting one instead.

Also regarding the chemistry stuff, I get it, there's not much and it seems like they screwed up some of what the original novel had like most live actions seem to do for no reason.

I'm also observing that Heng in real life seems to be a more serious and reserved type of person than Tee, so whether they go together or not/have clashing personalities may be coming out on screen too. Now I haven't seen a ton of them out and about in real life regarding videos, but I've seen enough to come to the conclusion that they're very different. Maybe that's what the director wanted, don't know, but that's what I think is going on here regarding chemistry issues.

They may want LJ to be friendly, then not friendly, then back to building up the relationship, which could be why it is the way it is as well. But who knows. I could be completely wrong.

I take this as popcorn entertainment that you shouldn't think too deeply about, but I find the atmosphere and tension on point.

I find that odd too, Payback and this are the only interesting ones airing right now for many different reasons and the only ones I look forward to avidly. Quality is high, good camera budget, good acting and interesting premises for each. I got bored with most of the other airing bls regardless of country origin.

Don't Be Too Emotional's story may be a bit silly or dramatic at times, but it's done pretty dang well so far if you ask me, the vibe is on point and keeps me wanting to come back for more and regret starting it so soon because there's so few episodes out.

So I assume after next episode we're getting a 5 year time skip? Or at least sometime soon? I could be wrong though, but can someone lightly spoil (not in extreme detail, but enough to get the context) how that plays out? Because that seems like a very weird choice story-wise and I know it was in the novel. Little Jane has his contract with Big Jane, so how can a 5 year time skip happen logically? What goes on there?

For real, people need to chill out and just enjoy the show lol or if they don't, stop watching then 🤧

I believe it's because of how long the original story is. From what I heard it might've been able to fit into 10 episodes? Don't quote me on that though, I haven't read the source material.

On the bright side, once it's finished and if you enjoyed it, it doesn't hurt one tiny bit to rewatch all over again! This definitely has that quality to it where you could and still enjoy it just as much as the first time.
