It's funny to me how inside of the show the actors seem and act pretty mature and you'd think they're a lot older than they really are, but then I see a behind the scenes clip or a reaction video and remember they're both early to mid 20's lol Especially Toptap, has a youthful spirit, but watching the show itself, I would've thought he was at least 28. That's good acting right there.

I tend to agree with those points you've made. I don't find him to be a complete blank slate type of personality, but moreso a glutton for punishment towards Big Jane because he likes him (at least what will probably be a lot more present later on in the series). The story they presented to us is intentionally toxic in nature with these people acting in unconventional ways that are harmful, this is what it was supposed to be like anyhow. Little Jane and his actor is just acting out the part the way they want him to act. He's shown range enough, I feel.
I don't know, I personally haven't seen that many Thai productions so there could be a certain acting style they deem professional and bad acting could be more noticable to those who have watched more than I have, but I really do think he's doing well with it and am impressed.

My accounts new and everything etc. but I saw some people criticizing Hengs acting and wonder what the problem with it is? For the type of story the show is, the plot and from what I've heard of the novel, he was kind of already written as a y/n character to begin with and his behavior is to be expected in the drama, so the actor did what he could with the character. I find his acting just fine, personally? I feel he's actually doing really well, including the rest of the cast, regardless of some writing issues.

Is this because of previous bias's or he hasn't been in that many things so people are being a bit harsh with his skills? I'm genuinely confused why I see some quite harsh acting critiques towards him.

The show may have some problems here there, and as some have said, blank slate characters, but the dark and intriguing atmosphere of the show is what draws you in, including the acting performances from all parties.
