I held off on watching this for so long because everyone I knew who had seen it said, "You'll cry a lot," so I needed to be ready. Initially, although there was good character development, I was really bored. It didn't make me cry, actually; there was more annoyance. The FL's constant crying was annoying; I nearly dropped it several times, but my friends kept telling me to keep watching. For whatever reason, episode 9 was the turning point for me. I don't know, maybe it was just that I like the older version of the ML and FL more. Now that I have finished it, I can say that this is a MASTERPIECE in character development—a story of life, struggle, and the perseverance of continuing, never to quit. Bring the tissues, you'll need them....especially for the last episode.
The last line by the river….the letter from the father….😭😭😭😭
Overall, I feel there was a very realistic showing of growth and stagnation in a relationship. I would have loved to see a “different” happy ending with them.
