7 years on and 143 K-dramas later, this still remains my all time favourite Korean series. The show doesn't miss. I need Ji Chang Wook in another action romance because he delivers every time. I watched K2, but it's nowhere near Healer.
That "Taekyung is still thinking about Daon" sneak peek is a misleading trap. It must be! They are playing with…
I have a theory about that actually. In the preview TK is covering his ears. I bet ShinWoo was telling that to TK, and in reply TK said "Just be my friend and take my side".
I dropped this after ep2, but yesterday decided to watch some more eps because I was bored. Managed to ep7, and I feel like nothing has happened in this show. Sure the leads are slowly building feelings, but literally nothing is happening otherwise. They attend class, play a few soccer games, go to a pub, repeat. Nothing is actually happening.
Watched the first 2eps and all I can say is this is fun, really fun. The story is simple and well executed. I'm so use to Thai school BLs that I'm still in shock at the drastically different vibe due to it being a K school BL. Love it, something about it is just so refreshing. So looking forward to the upcoming eps.
If you don't like reading criticism skip this comment. These are MY opinions/ thoughts only. If you love the show, love it to your hearts content, we all have a right to like what we want.
Watched the first episode and I was really excited to start watching it, because I like the plot, but after the first ep I don't know if I want to continue. My biggest bone to pick is the script, I literally wanted to gauge my eyes out on multiple occasions. They literally explain every single little thing, how dumb do they think the viewers are? My next issue is how they completely neglected building the setup and foundation for the plot. Within 5-10mins of the show starting the bodyguard was already living in the house. Show the audience the tensions between the feuding groups, give us more background on what's going on in each side, why was Sun fighting those guys? All they did was TELL not SHOW...it makes a huge difference. Each episode is an hour long, they have the time even if it's 8eps opposed to 12. K BL's fit a lot in just 15-20min eps. Following the complete lack setting establishment for this drama, the progression between the two leads seems a little off to me. Then again I think it's the really cheesy editing in post production. Oh let's not forget the use of background music when it really wasn't required.
I'll give ep2 a go, but I really don't know if I'll stick with this drama.
Now that I know this series is adapted from a LGBTQ webtoon it's all I can think about. Oh what could have been KBS..what could have been if you decided to say fck censorship. I'm open to a remake that sticks more closely to the source material. I mean Soo Hyun supposedly ends up with Joon's older brother!! I would like to see it....immediately. Firstly I want to know how on gods green Earth that happened (as I'm not a webtoon reader), and secondly representation. Korea is slowly getting there, but still have a very long way to go. I have noticed recently more side LGBTQ characters like Run On for example on SK main networks, but at the moment the only K BL's you can find are web dramas.
Since KBS has taken a different route from the source material I hope they can at least give us some interactions, or at least hint at their relationship. Give us some tension...anything.
Cherishing every moment of this drama, because I know it will be one of those shows you wish you could erase from your brain, just so you can experience it again for the first time.
Watched the first 2 episodes and wow it's so good already. The story, the tension and chemistry, but there is something also dark and a little twisted about it. Damn, I regret not waiting for all the episodes to air so I can just binge it.
I'm confused...Why then, does Fluke always refer to Ohm as "P'Ohm" if he's younger than him? If Fluke calls him…
Ohm and Fluke made an agreement when they were first cast. Fluke allows Ohm to call him Nong, while Fluke refers to him as P. They did it as a way for them to get into the characters of Dean and Pharm.
I can't be bothered writing a full review right now but I will leave a comment. For those who shy away from Chinese dramas tagged as bromance, let me tell you that you shouldn't avoid this one. In my opinion this show goes beyond bromance. All the emotion is there, you know these characters like each other, and not as brothers. The only difference is you aren't going to get blatant skin ship like kissing. That doesn't mean we don't get any skin ship and sneaky hints. I wasn't going to give this show a chance to be honest, only after I saw it everywhere on Twitter did I give it a go. I was hooked in the first ep and now I'm obsessed. It won't disappoint.
I just finished the series. Why would they end it like this? It was unnecessary
I felt cheated at the end tbh. I had watched the OST video on YouTube and I was sure the ending was going to be happy. I waited patiently for over a month to be betrayed. Ugh still hurts.
