Heartwarming drama, so beautiful.
In our mundane world of everyday life amid a time of decline swept along by a great current—“Northward ” unfolds at a gentle pace, its prose fresh and flowing like the steady trickle in an ordinary person’s life. It allows us to occasionally catch glimpses of light and shadow in the routine of daily life. Heavy like a descending night, it nevertheless emits a faint glow; the tones are deep and full of tension.
