A huge congratulations to "The Unseen Sister" for being selected as one of the films to be selected for competition at the 37th Tokyo International Film Festival to be held on 28 Oct 2024 - 6 Nov 2024
I have seen 12 episodes so far and I will attempt to be fair but it will be hard since Zhao Liying is my favourite Chinese actress of all time. Does the drama have flaws? Yes. But is there a lot of biased comments out there because of Liying and Yibo anti-fans? Also yes.
The CGI was a bit lackluster for me but in terms of storyline pacing and the acting is a a huge YES for me. To me, Liying embody Zhou Fei and the values she stand for. I also find the chemistry between Liying and Yibo pretty good despite their age difference. This is a martial arts drama people shouldn't expect the characters to dress like their in a imperial palace. (I seen online comments on Weibo saying their clothes are shabby) Like duh, they are constantly running for their lives what do you want them to wear?
Don't give up just yet for those who find the pace slow the storyline will just keep picking up and I really hope you see the hardwork done by all the actors and actress.
