i dont think this drama was about finding someone to marry and have children and spend the rest of your lives together. its about troubled depressed people trying to find happiness. she did mention what it meant to be "worshipped". to support each other no matter what. perhaps that was what she needed in her life. she got mad at him for trying to fix her problems, she said "why cant you just tell me i did a good job?". this goes both ways. she wasnt trying to fix him. theyre just trying to make their lives more bearable. everyone in the story have their problems. gu's problem is with alcohol. theyre fully aware of their problems, fixing them isnt easy. they barely have any willpower to get through the day. more so any willpower to fix those problems. the story is about getting these small bits of happiness from each other until eventually they have the willpower to make their lives better

no like I was actually asking if you have experience with alcoholics irl. I don't think all alcoholics are bad people, but I also don't know any alcoholics irl so Im not one to say. from the drama it didn't seem like Gu was a bad guy
