That's what I thought at first. "I need to finish it at all cost." But ... I can't. I know the story because I watched the chinese version back then so I didn't have any real surprise. And watching a drama only because I like the set is not what I want to do in my spare time ^^' And all I can see in this version is the gleam of Hallyu. It's ok if you liked it or if you are a die hard fan. And I'm glad that you liked it =) But I feel that people need to know that you don't have to force yourself if you doesn't like something. It's ok. If I wanted to say my opinion it's because here in MDL, a lot of drama are overrated because of one actor/actress or because the target is for hallyu fan. Sometimes, the drama is not for everyone and it's ok to disagree with a smile on your face =)
An overall overrated drama. The acting was meh, even Lee Jong Gi (who I really like) failed to impressed me. No chemistry between the ML and others couples. Don't compare the chinese version with the korean version : the plot is written for chinese mindset and the accomodation for the korean doesn't work. I felt watching a poor Slap&Kiss with abs and without sens (if the S&K has ever sens). I watched 8 episodes until I dropped. There is nothing in the plot (like really nothing, you can do your homework while you watch it), and all the actor were really off. It's a waste of Lee Jong Gi, seriously. The music was ok-ish and the pictures are good. That's it. There were some good idea (the smiley thing) but it was not good enough to do a good drama. I think we can say that korean are not good to adapte others drama (yeah I liked BoF but common' ! it's so-so compared with the original one). So if the story appealed you, try the chinese one and drop this. The chinese one is more realistic, sadistic and sad. But it's so much more good than this one.
