I'm really happy to hear that question resonates as strongly with someone else as it did with me when I first heard it! Always glad to share the queer wisdom lol

Well, I hope you find some shows you like! Browsing the tags is always a good way of finding new stuff to watch. There's also some really good films and shows under the GL umbrella if you're interested in that :)
Hiya, welcome! Yes, I have watched a lot of shows and movies under the BL umbrella, but I actually wouldn't describe myself as a BL fan. I enjoy stories with good queer representation that I, as a queer person, can relate to. I'm sure my tastes don't line up with everyone's but I pretty much judge the things I watch by how they make me feel about my own queerness. If they speak to that part of me, there might be something there for other queer viewers to enjoy as well :)
Hey, thanks for your lovely comment!I'm glad you're enjoying the show, I hope you'll like it as much as I did.
I totally get what you mean and I agree with you. Portraying Ji Hyun as so steadfast and quietly determined was definitely the perfect choice. Man, this conversation has really made me want to go back and watch the show again, brb I guess lmao

Thank you very much for your comment and your insights! I have amended my review accordingly. However, while I do agree with you that Amber isn't unhappy with his current gender identity, he never states that he is happy with it either. He seems entirely neutral towards the whole thing and seems to accept that it's just something that happened and that's how things are now. Personally that does not sit well with me, although I will say that I don't see this depiction as problematic. What I do see as problematic is how painful the transition and "treatment" clearly was for Amber. There is specifically one comment he makes about how the doctors told him to avoid all contact with his former friends as that would slow down the transition (which is already a strange statement imho) and that he decided to simply comply so that the entire process to be over and done with as soon as possible. This absolutely broke my heart as it did not at all sound like a trans kid happy to assume their new identity, it sounded like a scared kid who has suddenly had their entire life uprooted and has been subjected to countless doctor's visits that they don't fully understand. I do appreciate your point about Amber not being unhappy with his transition, I realise I should have phrased that point more clearly in my inital review.
