Does anyone know if the police had ever confirmed the identities of the 6 victims or is it 7? Mi suk was 7, right…
From what I can tell there were 7-8 victims, first of which being min seok's wife, last of which being Mi Sook who's body hasn't been recovered. Other than that we know they were all female.
I'm starting to have doubts that min seok was the leader, and he may not have been involved at all. I'm leaning towards a theory of the 'accomplice' being the head guy and Hae su being an apprentice type, giving the guy access to the car and basement. However I still don't know how often Min Seok used his studio, he was apparently a major loner.

Haven't seen that one but that really does sound disappointing.
All I'm hoping for from this one is that if he does bad things, even if he doesn't get punished for them, the show doesn't try to make him look like a saint.

I knew it was likely not going to have him pay for his crimes in the drama, however I didn't realize they were gonna be delusional and say his was incapable of murder XD
I liked the humor. As for a decent into madness story, although a bit disjointed, I highly recommend 'the merciless'
Alot of ppl complain about the ML not being that "evil", but here I am relief, because at least it's better to…
Which other drama are you referring to?
Also yeah, back in jan Psychopath diary ended. While I enjoyed it I was pretty frustrated they were sorta like 'nah main lead is too sweet to be a serial killer and would never hurt a fly' completely ignoring his past crimes like *cough* multiple counts of attempted murder.
I'm not sure how this is gonna end, but if they pull a 'hes completely innocent' I'ma be sad.
Holy crap... just rewatched the trailer and the thing Ji Won is burning is the bag of Hyun Su's stuff she got from Soon Gil's wife. SHE'S BURNING EVIDENCE.....
I don’t think they have the balls to make the ML a real serial killer. But so far he is dark enough to make…
It's not whether they are daring enough or not to make him a serial killer, that was never actually in the cards. The writing is actually criticizing Korea's prejudice and witch hunt culture. It showed us enough overt stuff to make us jump to conclusions but is slowly unraveling those. For instance when Hyun Su was talking to his 'parents' he said "Ji Won and I are a match made in heaven" "She only believes what she sees and I only show her what she wants to" The viewers naturally assumed he was just using her and was extremely manipulative. But as you watch you see he wants to distance his fake parents, stop them from interfering with his love life, and that he truely loves her for the fact that she doesn't form prejudices and believe nonsense rumors about him. This was most clear in the scene from 08 when they started dating.
It's not that he doesn't have emotions, or doesn't express them, it's that he generally thinks very differently…
XD welcome to the club! as I mentioned he's more prone to displaying negative emotions but he does have all of them. He consciously struggles with empathy but he still feels it. I highly recommend a rewatch, with this knowledge you tend to notice the little things more.
I disagree, I've gone back and seen things I didn't see before because I assumed that he was psychopathic based…
TBH I tend to avoid as many spoils as possible before watching a drama. I don't like getting my hopes up for something that probably won't happen. TKEM was the biggest disappointment.
I started psychopath diary randomly on ep one and thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 eps. It got frustrating after a while and the whole 'its not in your nature to kill someone thing' still leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I'd still rate it a 7.5 cause of entertainment... I need to update some of my reviews...

Okay, my advice is to try and find something else to enjoy for this one. Dashed expectations can suck, but I'm sure there's something else worth enjoying in here. For me is was going back and seeing just how many little things were written into the drama that anyone assuming he was emotionless would miss.
BTW figured you wouldn't like psychopath diary and checked your watch list XD

so basically your upset that this isn't a story with him being a murderer/serial killer under his wife's nose? There are a few dramas where the ML is morally reprehensible like Extracurricular, and strangers from hell.
kinda mad , the drama has lost his potential . Why the ML always has to be nice.
I disagree, I've gone back and seen things I didn't see before because I assumed that he was psychopathic based on what the drama was feeding us. It's definitely not what I was expecting, but it's great nonetheless. Also Hyun Su isn't exactly what I'd call nice, he kidnapped and mentally tortured reporter kim for days, giving him little food and water, he stole and disposed of a little girl's prized doll, He messed with the taxi driver making him think he'd die, he's still blackmailing reporter Kim, and so on. Just because he may not have murdered anyone, doesn't mean he's 'nice'. He's cynical, vindictive, enjoys irony, and really enjoys mental torture.

Well, speaking in terms of law, a family member vouching for whereabouts (especially for that length of time) is enough for an alibi. Because it's innocent until proven guilty, assuming the alibi is BS is assuming the son is guilty of making a false statement. They'd have to prove the alibi false with evidence rather than just saying the kid is lying. Which is why whoever the accomplice is would in fact find it unsettling to leave that open ended, cause the cops were clearly still investigating it. Also why do you think Hyun Su is lying?
I'm starting to think his dad might be innocent as well...
Um whether I would or not doesn't changed whether or not it's a crime. Regardless of motive he is not innocent. Also if you're curious, no I wouldn't. I've been through my fair share of messed up situations (domestic abuse, gun on campus etc), and none of them resulted in murder, kidnapping, blackmail, or illegally changing my identity.
I'll state this again, motive does not excuse one of their crimes.

If he stole the car one of the fam members would have noticed it missing, also the car was back at the house by may 12th without mention of it disappearing. If he was just a random person, why steal the car of a family who live out in the woods rather than stealing one nearby? I never said he framed Min Seok for the serial killings. However since the police were still looking for Mi Sook's corpse due to the witness stating she witnessed the kidnapping on a night Min Seok had an alibi the accomplice would rather the dead min seok take all the blame without suspicion of an accomplice. Because the witness changed her statement they lumped Mi Sook's disappearance with all the other deaths dispite not finding a body. One thing made clear throughout the series is that the investigation was lackadaisical at best, they didn't even notice 8 missing women until investigating Min Seok's suicide. The towns people are very prejudiced and find the simplest answer rather than the right one. The witness saw someone kidnapping mi sook, that someone threatened Mi sook to repeal her testimony by saying "I saw you too." Whether the accomplice killed the foreman or not is still in the air, but that confirms one thing, it wasn't until after the foreman died that the person threatened her. As I go through for the 4th time I'm putting together a timeline.
