Shin Sun Rok make a magnificent type of evil mastermind. He's one of those few actors who can pull off being evil and being cute/fun/good. He's perfect for the role
Such a fun article to read. I love the way you write.
I've been smitten by him for years and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I wish people would understand that the "pretty boy" roles he has taken on, are because these were the types offered to him. We must remember that the title of "Asia's Prince" was given to him because of his looks and charm, so of course there was a bombardment of roles that wanted to capitalize that. He himself has even said that he felt he was taking on those roles because they were expected of him, but now that he's getting older and maturing he thinks he's at the age where doing such things will no longer become natural to him.
We must also remember that he did try to break away somewhat from the "pretty boy" role with Love Rain, and many people actually criticized him and the series because of it. I for one really loved that drama and just LOVED him in it. But it seems the fan base in Korea thought it was too serious for him.
Also, since he is a model/actor/idol....he has to put care into his image. Surely we can't fault him for what got him into the business to begin with.
