Let me tell you how I binge watched this yesterday. Not a single moment in this show is boring or dragging. It's touching, emotional, and heart wrenching. Plus, the character development is amazing.
Actually, Jun's mother never answered when Ra-ra asked whether Jun is dead. But yeah I'm aware it was wrong to deceive her. But setting the ending aside, I really enjoyed this drama, I binge-watched 14 episodes in 2 days. That's gotta count for something! ^^
Honestly, ep 12 hit all the right spots for for me. Pai's parents really care for Pai and accept him because Pai's happiness is important to them. Folk clearly stating what are the boundaries to Pure, and showing his posessive side was refreshing to see. Also, I admire Itt's mature and responsible side to talk to Pai's parents directly. Not many people would be brave enough to do that. Overall, I'm satisfied with the ending.
I love the fact that he played alongside the majority of my favourite Korean male actors. Can't wait for him to start getting main roles in movies or dramas.
Seems that many people praise this and I hope that it lives up to its hype. Two more days until I start it...
I think you won't be disappointed no matter what kind of ending they choose to conclude the series. I will appreciate the story for what it is and not for what I wished it to be.
Yes, I watched the premiere. Reasons? It has Jung Hae-In in it after all. He is one of my favourite Korean actors. Moreover, the storyline is thought-provoking and emotion-evoking. It is slow-paced which I am not particularly fond of in other dramas, but honestly, this drama wouldn't work the way it does if it wasn't structured and presented in such a manner. The show-casing of one-sided or unrequited love is brilliant. The yearning, the pain, his memories of Ji Soo, their unique way of communication, Ha Won missing her.. It just shatters my heart.
Waah, I haven't watched like 7 of them but I am always watching like 5 or 6 dramas simultaneously as they are being aired. Time to gear up and get serious.
Ok...Am I the only person here that thinks Hao Ting is the passive and Xi Gu is the dominant? Because these scenes…
I know they can be versatile, but.. I also love it when the series subverts my expectations. I imagined that Xi Gu would be more embarrassed or less assertive in their physical relationship and intimacy is concerned, and Hao Ting would be the experienced one. I mean, just look at the stereotype of a jock/womanizer and a bookworm. Boy was I wrong. Xi Gu substitutes his inexperience with passion, and he is eager to uncover (khem Hao Ting's shoulder jk) a new side of himself. He touches Hao Ting's body without the slightest hesitation and appears to have his emotions in check. On the other hand, Hao Ting seems to be struggling with his self-control and overflowing emotions. His eyes are literally pleading Xi Gu to kiss him, touch him, to do something, anything. He is letting Xi Gu to set the pace, which shows how much he values him; he places Xi Gu before his own needs, yet anxiously accepts each and every kiss and touch. And I think this is perfect.
*Still can't get over Hao Ting sitting in Xi Gu's lap and pressing his body against Xi Gu's. I think I was dying in installments with each passing second.. Not even Sun Bo and Lu Zhi Gang's scene shook me that much, there must be something seriously wrong with me. xD*
In case people are still confused about Type's "sudden" change Twitter user @medusa_marissa explained:"People…
Still hope that someone will post an English translation of the novel online somewhere in the near future. The story intrigues me so much, and I'd love to read it in its entirety. ^^
I'm really surprised how many people changed their minds after watching episode 4. I'm glad they are enjoying…
I'm not taking sides, as I am an observer of their relationship (although it is a 'fictional' one). The series are made with a specific purpose and designed to move and trigger the viewer's emotions. Topics, such as child molestation, rape, societal attitudes towards the LGBTQ community, mental illness, depression, PTSD, etc. need to be covered since a lot of people are still so narrow-minded and prejudiced about such things. Should we hate Type for being homophobic? Should we hate Tharn for forcing himself on Type? Should we even judge and take sides with the character who seems to be more righteous or more pitiful than the other? To me, the series are much more than 'hot moments and sex scenes' between the male leads. I mean, observe the context, and see how the matters develop. Don't be hypocritical and praise the series after slandering it prior to seeing some steamy scened. Just keep in mind: Life is hardly ever fair, people are complicated and complex living beings, and situations are never black and white.
I've been mentally preparing myself to watch episode 4 for the past hour or so... I just can't! For the love of god, I'm going mad either way, watching it or not watching it. T.T
Or the amount of times Lan Wangji saying "Wei Ying / Wei WuXian" xD Thb not as numerous as ShaoFei's calling TangYi,…
I'm also not watching Dark Blue Kiss because I want to watch it in one go. The waiting would make me go crazy. Like it's not killing me right now. TharnType and History3 are just so good, the acting is really on point.
