I'm not liking the amount of screentime and interactions the FL and SML are having. If i didn't know any better, I'd think they're the leads. I hope this changes ASAP.
Edit: On episode 3, things haven't changed, FL and SML still spending so much time together. I'm starting to think this show should be called The Forbidden Marriage with the Royal Investigation Bureau Chief. I'm starting to wonder who the ML is.
Edit: Oh look, the SML (or ML, I'm not sure any more) just saved the damsel in distress. So let's recap. So far the SML has caught her in his arms, held her hand, carried her on his back, protected her, bought her gifts, and saved her from drowning. That's more interactions than we see in some other dramas between ML and FL. And I'm only halfway through episode 3. Smh.
Edit: Let's add kissing to that list. Yes, that's right, the SML kissed the FL, and yes, she was unconscious, but he said it himself, he said he kissed her. But no, it doesn't stop there, he then carries her home and tucks her into bed. Incredible, how does he keep getting away with it.
Edit: At the end of episode 3, when the ML orders the SML out of the room so he can take care of the sick FL, followed by the kiss. Priceless. Yes, take that you stupid SML.
Edit: On episode 4, now it's back to SML hugging FL while teaching her how to fight. Ffs, when is this shit going to end. I've never seen a SML with so much action with a FL. If i wanted to watch a drama where the SML gets the girl, I'd watch Love Alarm.
Edit: At the end of episode 4, the SML just dragged her away as she entered the ML's room. He's pissing me off, i hope one of the bad guys kills him.
Edit: Halfway through episode 6, and the SML is still pissing me off. The FL was just about to go comfort the ML after he saw the dead body, but surprise surprise, the SML grabbed her, dragging her away. Then he goes on to tell her to leave the palace so he can take care of her for the rest of her life. Poor ML, I just wish he had a SFL just so the FL can have a taste of her own medicine.
Edit: At the end of episode 8, the SML is finally gone 🎉🥳🎊🥂 Let's hope he doesn't come back.

Now they're spending quality time together at a hideout. I don't get it, why are they spending so much time together? Does the writer or producer have something against ML's? This better end well, or it's getting a low rating.

Oh damn, i was hoping for a SFL with feelings for the ML. At least there would be balance. Oh well, another drama where ML has to suffer through jealousy alone.
I'm not trying to start a fight. What i meant was how did you get all of that with the cliches and storyline just from 1 episode. Usually it takes more than 1 episode to judge all of that. I'm referring to the minor things like chemistry, interactions, maybe romance if it started early.
I think he would've been better off if he just let that other prince take the throne, the one the empress was siding with. It was ok. The ending seemed unfinished. What happened with everyone? What was the injury to the emperor that made him unable to have kids? What drug was the ML taking to make him seem like an eunuch? Like a hormone replacement, they didn't have that back then, it doesn't make sense. I've read about many deleted scenes, but the only one i noticed was the one where she finds out he's really not an eunuch. That shouldn't have been deleted, that scene is something we all look forward to in all dramas, where the FL discovers something important about the ML.
