I disagree. Gao Leng was a hot mess. Why do we judge women who set a high standard for themselves? They ruin her…
Because it's the wrong standards women are setting. It's even encouraged no matter how ludicrous their standards are. For example, the three 6's that are non-negotiable. 6 feet, 6 figures, and 6 inches. Just imagine the backlash if men's standards were her weight, her beauty, and her purity. Women can have standards, but men can't.

"She just wanted a man with ambition." In other words, she wants a rich man. If she really loved him, it won't matter how much he makes. He's not jobless, he's not homeless, he's not a bum. He has a good job and is loyal. So what if he's a geek? If she doesn't like geeks, she shouldn't have been with him in the first place.

Yeah, pretty good. I liked the story and mystery. The romance was good too. By the way, for anyone curious about love triangles, there are three love triangles. Don't let anyone mislead you. Yes, they're very minor and unrequited, but they can't be dismissed, and they're still part of the story and important for the characters and development. Far too often viewers will dismiss love triangles or not label them as love triangles because it's unrequited, but that doesn't mean it's suddenly not a love triangle because the ML or FL doesn't have feelings for the second leads. Remember, by definition, a love triangle is a situation in which two people both love a third person, regardless of whether that third person has feelings for one or both. It can also involve person A with feelings for person B, but person B has no feelings for person A, and person C has feelings for person A.

This could've been one of my favourite drama. The early episodes were great, but it dragged on and on, then I…
So she spends a lot of time with the SML?

Question. When the ML and FL kissed in episode 8 to turn her back into human form, why was she fully clothed when she became human? All other times she transformed she was naked.

Interesting point of view regarding the writers being male, i never thought of that. But i have a different theory. I believe the reason SML's are kind while SFL's are mean is because the majority of viewers are female. Therefore, the female viewers kind of relate to the FL. They want to see the handsome SML with the kind and caring traits protecting and pursuing the FL. They don't want to see the SFL with these kind and caring traits because then the SFL would become worthy of the ML, and that is unacceptable. Female viewers do not want a SFL to end up with the ML. They don't even want her hanging around him. You may have noticed the phrase "second lead syndrome" used often on MDL. That phrase doesn't apply to the SFL. It's only reserved for the SML. Viewers will even take it a step further and ship their FL with the handsome SML even if that SML is an evil person. The ML may not have done anything wrong. It's just that the SML was more handsome or more interesting than the ML. We can even look at the expectations of the main leads. ML's are expected to be nice, caring, protecting, courageous, and will immediately fall in love with the FL from the beginning without a second thought or hesitation. He will also need to sacrifice his life for her and be persistent in pursuing her, even if she rejects him multiple times. Apparently, the FL is allowed to reject and ponder her decisions of the ML, while the ML can not. The ML will also be prohibited from having any female characters around him except the FL. If he does, he's suddenly toxic and a red flag. Meanwhile, the FL can enjoy multiple male characters surrounding her, and that is considered normal, infact it's encouraged. ML with SFL, "toxic." FL with SML, "you go girl."

I knew the nephew has feelings for the FL. I finally confirmed it in episode 7 when he's at her house posing as her boyfriend. So that's three confirmed love triangles so far. Poor ML, he's been deceived by the FL and his nephew, and now his nephew is his love rival.

That's true. I think many only see it as a love triangle when the person being pursued by two characters has feelings for both characters. But that scenario is rare. We usually see the ML and FL only having feelings for each other. Meanwhile, the SML has feelings for the FL and the SFL with feelings for the ML. But by far, the most common love triangle is the scenario where the FL is being pursued by the ML and SML. That love triangle usually lasts the whole drama, and the SML is usually a kind, caring, protecting, and supporting character. We do see love triangles involving a SFL, but they're usually short lived because the SFL is mostly portrayed as a nasty, bitchy, conniving, scheming and malicious character. I understand why SML's and SFL's are so different with contrasting moral standards. But I'm curious to know your thoughts on this and why these two characters are so different.

I'm seeing a lot of viewers upset that the FL ended up with the ML. Um, isn't that how it's meant to be? In what universe does the FL end up with the SML? That doesn't make any sense. I'm guessing these same viewers loved Love Alarm😂

That's correct. Those are the most common scenarios. Therefore, we have to label them as love triangles. There can be variations of a love triangle, for example, the pursued will like person A or person B or both. Or the pursued will like person A, but it's unrequited, while person B likes the person who likes person A. In any case, in regards to viewers asking questions about love triangles, all these scenarios should be put in the love triangle category to avoid confusion and made simple. Because really, that's what people want to know when asking the question, are there any love triangles. The other person who replied to my comment said there are no love triangles, but that's misleading. I don't know if they mislead me on purpose, maybe they thought
i wouldn't watch it if there are love triangles, or they just have a different opinion on the definition of a love triangle.

very little
Would you believe it's enough to satisfy the craving of a romance lover? Keep in mind the romance doesn't have to be made up of rainbows, fairies and lollipops. Simple gestures and flirtatious actions are acceptable.

Episode 0 is a mash up of scenes from the regular episodes. After watching it and moving on to episode 1, I felt…
On my Viki it's not episode 0, it's episode 15. It goes from 1 to 15.

Really? No love triangle in a Kdrama? Are you sure there's no love triangles? Maybe there is but you've dismissed it because it's minor and insignificant? Or maybe our definition of a love triangle differs. For me, by definition, a love triangle is a situation in which two people both love a third person, regardless of whether that third person has feelings for one or both. Does this situation happen in this drama?
