Title The Impossible Heir Spoiler
Or tldr Why are the boys trying to take over a company that didn't do them any injustice?
Please note that I used the translator!
Han Tae Oh's motivation is to reach the top despite being in hardship. He uses In Ha's connections to try to break into high society. (In reality he doesn't need it that much, he gets into the president's good graces for his abilities). His goal is to put In Ha in charge of Kangoh and be his right-hand man... he has no pure ambition to become the boss. SPOILER: In fact he plans Kangoh's separation which will be carried out by In Ha with Park Sajin.
In Ha uses Han Tae Oh first to enter a prestigious university and then to gain acceptance from his father within the Kangoh company, with the ultimate aim of taking his place.
Ha Ye Won's motivations are similar to Tae Oh's but she uses the shortcut of marriage of interest. She is ready to give up her feelings in order to settle down in a chaebol family, SPOILER: it happens twice, at university and when she accepts In Ha's proposal (see scene of the car with the U-turn arrow). His ultimate goal is to burn ties with his mother.
The plot found online (here too) is wrong: InHa has never been poor. He always lived in a villa with a high standard of living. He was never accepted into the Kang family because it proves his father's betrayal between the two children of his second marriage. He is hated above all by his stepmother. The first son does not consider him worthy (and even less Tae Oh, despite the fact that he is useful for his intelligence!)
The poor one is Tae Oh.

SPOILER: the reasons that push the leader of Kangoh to increasingly support Han Tae Oh (to the detriment of his children) are expressed in the speech commemorating the center's 5th anniversary, on the perfect leader of Kangoh. As time passes (Tae Oh works as the president's special secretary for about 5 years, before being promoted to head of the future strategy center) the president realizes his limitations (including his children) and Tae Oh's credits.
The president and In Ha are very similar in terms of managerial approach, they look for the easiest and not the most "clean" shortcut (reference to ep.5-6) while Tae Oh moves with more discretion, remaining borderline with legality (thank you to the hacker's support).
Last note on time... SPOILER: the drama begins in the last year of high school (Han Tae Oh took the university test simulation and came in the top 0.1%). After three years they are finishing university and the triangle begins (Tae Oh is doing an economics thesis at Kangoh group).
Five years pass and he becomes the president's secretary. After another five years the president falls ill and the machinations to replace him begin (by all the children!!).
From that moment on, time expands: in May Tae Oh is attacked, at the end of May InHa and Ha Ye Won get married. In July, Tae Oh begins to clear his name and save Kangoh. At the end of July the mother dies and revenge is taken.
In ha commits suicide in October...

I don't watch dramas with this kind of low rating, but going to give it a try for Lee Jae Wook 🔥
I repeat myself, the actual rating doesn't reflect reality... try It if you want.
Keep in tour mind that it isn't a fairy tail or an Adventure One, It Is a business story. Lee Jae Wook did a beautiful work.

It's not a bad drama at all, an 8 would be more accurate as a rating.
<7 doesn't reflect reality!
I don't agree with the excessively low ratings.
Most reviewers gave their votes with the deliberate aim of dropping it below 7....Those who had a different idea of the story starting from the first episode, probably.
It's incorrect to review with 1 if you don't like the main actress (I don't want to defend her, but I don't want to shoot all the drama either!) or if you hope for a different love story. Come on 1!!!!
It's probably aimed at a more mature audience, who doesn't equate a kiss with murder.

Ok it's pretty bad BUT it's not 6.8/10 levels of bad, Jesus christ lol, 7.5-ish seems reasonable
Rating doesn't reflect reality.
It hasn't great adventures witch capture the audience, and ,yes, the Fl hasn't a good expresion but the correct valutation will be 8.

I’ve been patiently waiting to binge this, now that I’m almost there….what 7.1??? I get that sometimes weirdos…
In my opinion it is not yet possible to express oneself with knowledge: The drama is not over yet and the climax should arrive with, hopefully, some more explanations.
Jae Wook, again in my opinion, did an excellent job, in not showing any expressiveness, his work is exactly the opposite of the Jang UK of the first AoS. It must have been very difficult and from the actor's point of view, it must have represented an interesting challenge

And why, beside the FL? There are soooo many actually bad dramas that have normal ratings. Not perfect, but not…
I agree.

I don't understand the hate and the low rating for this drama. It's not bad at all!
In Ha he is a psychopath and it is clear from the first episode, from when he is introduced as violent and kleptomaniac bully . He takes HW to take her away from TO and it is clear from the first scenes at the University.
He doesn't trust TO, he waits for him ti controllo him at his shack, when the trio see each other for the first time at IH's house. After the new episodes (7-8) which confirm and expand In Ha's characterization, we can better understand the discussion on the beach with TO who says that his only objective is the rise of IH. (which is clearly false).
TO is a strategist with multiple solution plans: from the previews we see that the president lets him escape from prison (as could be expected from the request for insurance in the event of a serious crisis in ep 4) and he thanks by throwing InHa out ( which they had agreed was still primary to bring into question). TO has chosen the president for its future...
The FL figure remains a little ambiguous to me, but in a drama the story of a tormented love is ok (regardless of the skill of the actress) so it doesn't bother me too much. But I think it's much milder in truth, I think it's a businness relationship (first or second ep, I don't remember, exchange of words between TO and HW on the roof: where will we be in 10 years? I don't think IH will be with us. I you will help even if you don't want to...): I assume that TO's show to help HW in the face of In Ju's threats is exaggerated (as is the kiss scene on the roof) and designed to reveal who was really behind his aggression .
Speaking of the supporting actors, TO will call the former prosecutor who he had ruined and for whom he didn't feel guilty (because he wants to reuse him and makes him grow further)...
I expect to see the University professor again, who has never been an enemy for TO and therefore could have another use (especially since we saw him spied on by In Ha, I add that that report could be fake, a trap in short )
Finally the little sister. She is a secondary character but since they have always been inserted with a purpose and in this drama the love story Is not so important... she could be the real twist of the relationship and the reason why a not consanguineous, bright, intelligent and even a little ruthless young man can also become Kang Oh's president.

Sorry, I laughed when Tae Oh was surprised that In Ha was behind framing him and betrayed him like seriously??…
Excuse me,can you explain me how TH used IH?(sincere request). He joined K group thanks to his thesys and relation which was sold to the professor and then to the second son. Then he became the special secretary of the chairman... how and when he used IH? I can' t understand!!! Thanks

i hope they don’t end up together at the end. how can tae oh be with hyewon when she literally spended 10+ years…
They weren't friend and In Ha never felt anything for HW... he wanted her to have TH. This Is clear from the First ep.
I don't inderstand TH goals and motivations. He could climb every companies as he did in Kang oh...

7.6 YIKES! That bad huh?Should I even bother starting this?!? 😅Btw is this plot kind of simialr to Jaewook's…
A bit about the economy passages, but the struggle against the Power of chaebol Is more powerful and complex. Till now there's no a certain villain, we have only speculations...
I like It, as search www... but in search www there were more humour ( for the makjang insider the plot and for the dinamic of the two main FLs),this Is more dark and (I think) more sad...

Out of the ordinary comment: I like it... it's still a drama and not an author's film!
Maybe it's because of my age or my experience or because I would watch LJW even in a still image (are we talking about the scene where they prepare the takeover, the one in shirtsleeves or when he gets angry with IH for the time jump trick?!! )... I like it and will continue to watch it.
I advise? Yes, if you like actors and read the tags that tell you it will be an economic political drama. It's not like you can expect any action or fighting scenes! It reminds me of the main plot of search www. with all the dynamics between Barro and Unicorn to have subscribers, views, the interference of the government and the powerful conglomerate.
The chemistry with FL doesn't excite me, but (and again I'll be out of line) the kiss between TO and HW is comparable to Mu Deok's first two kisses with Jang Uk (she's still frozen in surprise, the third is definitely better , I'm talking about the one in the secret room inside the barrier ep18).
The FL actress is not particularly expressive, she has huge eyes always open in an expression of eternal wonder and a very static forehead, perhaps this is what bothers her in her acting, but I don't stop looking at her for this reason...
as regards "TH's obsession" with her, the fact that only the two of them continue to see each other on the roof of the slums makes me think that they have continued to do the same for 10 years... he knows that she has chose IH only for convenience, who doesn't love him... now that the time of marriage and his aggression has come, he has second thoughts. He's not a robot after all! (underpants scene ep.2!)
I expect a new flashback that shows their plans during the university period (there are scenes from the trailer and clips that have not yet been seen!) that explain TH's motivation for joining IH.

At this point in time I'm guessing he send the mother to meet the daughter so FL would be traumatized enough not…
I think the same
On The Impossible Heir Mar 13, 2024
I'm Italian and listening to the hacker speaking in Italian with L instead of R was really funny!!!
Hot comment after the last episodes:
I think there are jumps back and forth again that will be filled with the next ones: In Ha's plan against Tae Oh(because they're definitely not friends!), Chief Kang's plan to cover up the attack on Tae Oh, those of the two brothers plus mother to take revenge...
also I think that the first son's special secretary acts either independently (every time he was punished it was because Injub was angry about Tae Ho) or on someone else's orders...
I think Tae Ho knew he was being spied (at least I want to hope, since he's super smart, super prepared and approaches everything like a math problem!!) when he kissed the FL...
FL's mother is also driven (perhaps by her little sister or InHa?)
Behind the murders I suspect either FL or Inha but also her little sister's boyfriend...

1) From the start, TH linked himself with IH,but he is smart enough to
reach his actual position, he never used IH to live. I think he needs him as a label...
2) he went to the Villa in the First ep. Why? Only to see how reach people do party?
3)He stares the Kang first son when, in Ep. 3, he said TH could be a Kang as he Is capable.
4) He always says that IH is the reason he exists and it's very strange to say...
5) in the opening, the title (illegittimo in my country - IH was legittimate at first and now as well!) Is always on the side of his face, never linked with IH...
I think he Is envolved somehow with Kang family... as if he was the real Kangh In Ha...
