Isn't it crazy?? I just wrote a review of Ossan's Love and this is the same conclusion I reached - I was fair on the original series, but it had a ton of issues, and Ossan's Love Returns basically ironed ALL OF THEM out!

While this is true, I think you can also get away with just watching this season 👀
They do flashbacks whenever it's important, so you don't miss out on any important context!

They massively improve on the story in this series! The romance and comedy feel more balanced, the character arcs are great, and it's so rare to see a happy married couple on TV, so I really treasure having a season where Haruta and Maki are married 😭

Also the main theme is Lovin' Song by Sukima Switch! Once I figured out what it was called, it was easy easier to find it on YouTube.
