That was boring as hell when it should have been steamier than ever. The slow pacing and 80s soap opera soundtrack did not help. I kinda want to watch more just to see if it gets better, but then again... no. It's just too ridiculous to waste time on. DROPPED.

First 2 eps are strong. War is amazing. I remember when I saw the En of Love version I was blown away by his acting, and he's doing another great job here. Vin has improved dramatically since then. You can feel his comfort and confidence in his acting now. Yes, there are some moments that are "less than", but overall both are really handling it well. Show looks great overall. LOTS and LOTS of cute boys everywhere. Where to look? I'm not triggered by the cheating storyline. Every couple needs conflict and this is a very common way to do that. I do wish Vee had not moved in so quickly, maybe been disappointed by his girl BEFORE he started flirting, but that comes from wishing his character took some time to develop and understand his feelings a bit more before acting on them. I got the impression he had not been with a man before Mark, so a bit of confusion and resistance would have been more natural and welcomed. Looking forward to more.

OMG, that finger biting scene still stuck in my mind, I can't throw it out of my mind...😭😂
My heart rarely races, but that scene got me all flustered.

Thank you, boyyent, for shirtless Bear. I don't want to be greedy, but Mek next, please?
I actually felt dirty watching that scene. His body is so under developed that he looked like a pre-pubescent boy (despite the abundance of under arm hair) and I didn't like seeing him half naked.

I like this series because it's light hearted. Yeah, it has a few of the same old tropes and lgbtq+ stereotypes…
It's a bit of a satire on the genre... not a REAL satire, but they are making fun of some of those same tropes that they have inserted - and that's what makes it pallatable to me - otherwise I would be annoyed as hell.

I find it funny that you talk about tops and bottoms, because we're lucky if we get kisses. What happens under the sheets in any BL is mostly a mystery - even if one seems more "submissive" you never know who tops whom. I've known plenty of fem tops and butch bottoms, so appearances don't really mean anything.

ngl.... the first few episodes were quite boring to me and didnt really drag me in. But I really liked episode…
I feel exactly the same. Also, Mek toned it down a bit and that made the whole episode easier to watch.

Ep 3 and I've had to start watching at 1.5x. The direction is really poor. We go from day to night in the next scene. Acting not so good either. Not a single tear in the last scene where Fah was supposedly weeping. Those kisses looked like two pieces of dry toast touching each other. And the scene with Dao and Kluen, when Dao is in bed fully dressed in a button down shirt and dress pants. Not sure I'll be able to stick it out for the remainder, even at 1.5x speed.

no i don't. sorry

Feels about 2 years too late for this type of lockdown/quarantine show. Hard for these actors since they're alone, reacting to no one IRL. Neither has great charisma and there's no chemistry, not that there could be since they never appear together. Yes, obvious comparisons to the "other" show, including the exercise bit, which feels like a direct lift from that script. Feels like they could have tried a little harder to make this one more unique. Not sure I'll stick it out.

Was not expecting this. A BL series with mid-life crisis themes? (I'm sorry but saying you're an old man at 39 made me laugh). I originally thought Togawa wanted Nozue's job and that's why he was throwing him all of those shady looks. My bad. Togawa is whipped! Nozue is so clueless but in an authentic way. It's adorable. I like how you could easily mistake their interest in each other for simple office friends. That Togawa is clever. Use his insecurities to get into his life, help him through his crisis with a bit of new-age "wisdom" and make him fall in love with you. You're the man!

The acting is subtle and nuanced and both characters are very mature. It's refreshing and makes me want to never watch another Uni BL again. This is something I could watch 15 episodes but I guess I'll just have to watch these 5 over and over. Can't wait to see how it progresses.
On My Secret Love Jun 14, 2022
This one is okay so far. A lot of familiar elements, but I think the satire/parody element saves it. That chancellor is extra but at least she's funny. But Fluk/Mek not so much for me. He's way over the top. He yells so many of his lines. I know they are supposed to be "enemies to lovers" but you don't have to scream all the time. I was annoyed for a second when the two sisters became shippers, but then I remembered they're poking fun at all the cliches. Those girls are pretty good and super cute too (if you're into girls, haha). Bomb melts my heart. When Bear called him by his name, the look on his face was priceless. I'm not 100% "in" on this one, but it's a cute distraction.
Cute and sweet and Naoya is EVERYTHING. I had some problems with Kota's over-the-top reactions and I wish his character had developed more over time, but overall it was a delightful bit of fluff. Very innocent, even leaving the lovers with barely a chaste peck for the entire series, but they made up for it with the tender connection and understanding between the two young men. The last episode gave them each a nice moment to explain their characters and behavior. Both actors were decent, though limited and did I mention Naoya is EVERYTHING. The boyfriend everyone would want, the friend we all long for and the eye candy we all crave. I might rewatch portions of this again, although I don't think I need to see the whole thing from beginning to end.

2nd ep better than the first. I still think Fah behaves very differently than he did in the prequel, but I'm trying to just view him as a new character. He's a bit of a jerk and so is Prince, so I'm waiting for them to show the softer side of their personalities. The strip-soccer game was ridiculous (but enjoyable), and the doctor who doesn't seem to know how to administer to any patient except to put a band-aid on a knee is laughable. Do his 2 friends do ANYTHING? Why does the teacher have to tell the kids... they surely have seen countless animals killed for food. It's all a bit forced, but Fah is so damn cute I'll watch him trim nose hairs.
On What Zabb Man! Jun 10, 2022
This was fairly mediocre. I liked Boss. He has a lot of charisma. Peter was okay. I found Bank and Bonus to be flat and uninteresting with zero chemistry. The story had too many logic flaws, many of the characters were unappealling. I found them retreading the same story territory over and over, so I lost interest about halfway through. Towards the end I HAD to watch at 2x because it was just too painful. I won't watch again, and in all honesty, I would not recommend unless you're a BL addict (like me) who has to watch EVERYTHING (like me).

I think the hint at GL late was a good idea. The story is short and there wouldn't have been time to actually…
As I said, he is acting in character. I understand why he was initially freaked out by everything. But this is NOT real life. This is a story with a limited amount of time to have a character develop, change and grow. I don't want him to be fully 100% IN and switch character, but I would like to see him grow a bit more and change parts of his behavior, as he opens up and allows love/friendship/companionship into his life. Now, the writers have to make him do a 180 in one episode, rather than a slow progression.

I’m so confused when I see comments like this. I don’t know how anyone could watch 12 episodes, 25 minutes…
You took what I said to the extreme. Of course I want more than just a montage of kisses and hand holding. I love complex story telling. I like shows that bring in more than just romance. The first season was so great because it had Ji Woo's restaurant problems and Seo Jun's controversy and secret. Those issues complicated their relationship, but were not the problems WITHIN the relationship. But when you invest so much in a couple and their love story, to see them broken apart like this is a bit heartbreaking.
This was not what I was expecting. I was hoping for lovey-dovey moments with some side drama thrown in, but this breaks my heart. Ji Woo seems to have regressed to worse than when we met him in S2 and Seo Jun is waaaaay too clingy. He doesn't understand boundaries or that No Means No. Still, I love these two and I'm in it for all the secrets. I wish I could hold off and binge but I know I'll be back every week for a fix.
I found this episode (#7) a little odd. Suddenly, with only one episode left, we get Naoya's POV and backstory. Suddenly, we get the GL. Suddenly, we get this kidnapping plot. All a bit much for the penultimate episode. Kota is acting in character, but I feel like we keep retreading the same issues over and over again. Don't get me wrong, it's still super cute and I'm ALL IN for Naoya, I hope the finale is a satisfying conclusion.
