idk man, it's heartbreaking seeing comments on Win, yes he's not muscular and not as handsome, but hating on him…
There's nothing wrong with an average looking guy. Just don't call him the most handsome muscular guy on campus and no one would call any attention to it.

Agreed. I find it somewhat off-putting how some of these shows marketed themselves as BL when they're not really?…
Honestly, just trying to get more insight and start a discussion here...

I've watched about 30+ "BL" series and the ones I like the most are the ones that break the mold. If you stick to the same tropes every time, how can you ever tell a different story? It will be the same story with different actors. If BL cannot be "grim" or "serious" or "dramatic" or "preachy" and must be "chaste" I am not sure many of the series I have seen could fit that description. Boys cry in almost every series. Isn't that dramatic? SOTUS starts off with 10 very dark episodes that deal with some pretty serious issues. Is that not BL? TharnType has several grim storylines and preachy moments. Until We Meet Again has tragedy as its catalyst. HIStory: Count Our Days ends tragically. Are none of these BL?

It's Boys Love. If two boys are falling in love, isn't that enough? That certainly happens here. This IS all about the romance. It IS very chaste (that scene where they confess their "virginity" to each other is one of the best and most tender scenes in any BL I've watched). And it appears that the end goal (just guessing from the last shot) is a reunion between the lovers.

It seems some want only happy comedies where boyfriends never kiss, but I prefer real life, real emotions and all its complexities. Call it whatever you like.

Can Kokoy be any better? I know it's only a trailer, but I already love his character. Is he str8 IRL?

Loved, loved, LOVED this series. Made me cry more than any other BL ever. I am in love with Mico and that's because JC did an AMAZING job. Yes, I agree that Tony was not as strong, but his personal charisma carried it when his acting chops fell short. All of the Young Padawans were great. Dang, I wish these guys were my friends. The challenge these actors had, filming in isolation without anyone to react against, without even being able to see your scene partner(s) on-screen while you were filming, is mind-blowing. Big ups to you all!

But the production values! Wow. This looked like a feature film to me. It was so well shot, edited, directed. This is the standard - and to think it was all accomplished during lockdown with limited crew and mostly the cast filming themselves. The prep for this must have been so challenging, and they did such a great job. Kudos to the entire production team. Thank you for raising the bar.

I've already watched it 2-1/2 times. I know I'll come back again. I could just watch one episode and that would be enough to take me back into this world and these characters' lives (I do this with my favorite books, just open to any chapter and re-enter the world entirely).

So happy!

Well! You really don't need a big budget production to make an excellent mini-serie. The Thai better up their…
I think the acting was an even bigger challenge here (and on all lockdown productions). These actors are alone, with no one to react against (what they supposedly see and hear on the screens in front of them was actually blank - they just had to act in a literal box), and also with a virtual rehearsal period. The fact that these guys do so well means they are even more talented.

I'm with you. I've watched about 30 BL series during lockdown and this is my all-time favorite.

If you love a man, and enjoy sex with a man -even if it’s only one specific man - what is the word to use then? Just asking. Whatever that word is, more BL should use it

i suggest you do some research or read the youtube comments after watching every episode.
But shouldn't you understand from watching alone? If you need to do research, doesn't that mean the production did not deliver what was intended?

Also when they kissed, it all felt so natural. This is just a pet peeve of mine but in several BLs when they kiss…
Yes, this "gay only for you" trope is over-used, so grateful it was handled differently here. I think BL should explore gender fluidity more and in some depth, rather than just use the "gay only for you" trope.

Thank you! I love this show, but some of the comments being made here are really off-putting.
So true!

People disagree. That's normal. But you can do so in a respectful manner without name-calling, etc.

there are people who are actually like tau who can only fall for a specific person, and i am one of them.
Yes but then let’s explore that. The next evolution of BL should incorporate gender fluidity, not tired old tropes.

Why does it feel like everyone is sweeping Otep's feelins under the rug. If he is feeling jealous, have an actual…
Really poor choices on Taus part. He’s not taking his lovers feelings into account just so he can prank him... after he already broke his heart once.

Okay, after rewatching the series again, I think I am getting the dynamic of this series. Tau playing that prank…
I agree. It’s well established that this group pranks. But after Tau breaks Teps heart, he chooses to PRANK him, rather than comfort him. And Tep is obviously really upset but Tau just ignores it for the prank. That’s not the way to win back the love of your life. It really made me dislike his character.

Hard to judge from this ep since it’s all set up but love the setting and looking forward to watching them cook up some Pinoy BL

I really liked it a LOT. It didn't escape my notice, though, how similar the concept is to Gaya Sa Pelikula. Must…
Just curious How you think this is similar to GSP? Two boys living together? That’s the plot of 50% of BL. And cooking is in 75%. Let me know what ur thinking.

I think Whilce is just a gag but I think Dicky was trying to flirt. IMO.

Enjoying this so far, though in truth not a lot has happened. It’s light, cute, sweet and tender. Exactly I would expect and hope for in terms of pandemic programming. Like the bro/sis relationship. I thought she did a good job, although I see others criticized her here. The ridiculous shirtless guys were too silly to be taken seriously So I just enjoyed the skin... and I’m team Dicky. Fascinating to me to see how lockdown impacts other parts of the world. Looking forward to seeing if there’s actual chemistry between the leads when they are allowed to meet.

Title My Extraordinary Spoiler
My only complaint so far is Ep 6 was a little slow. I’ve been avoiding guessing the ending and who is alive or dead, and just enjoying the quality work. I did hate the Mom’s response in this episode but again that could be justified if there are more twists ahead.

As for comments that parents should love their kids unconditionally and accept them, yes in a perfect world that’s the goal. But this world is not perfect Homosexuality is still taboo, even in the most progressive countries. Let’s not forget the Mom is religious. That can cause even more conflict. And if she accepted it, we wouldn’t have a story.

Lawrence... the little brother I always wanted.

Looking forward to the last eps.

I was called asinine, absurd, foolish and more. And you want to say I’m a hater because I defend my own opinion. Maybe look up the definition.

You would think a room of BL lovers would have some familiarity and sensitivity to cyber bullying but I guess that’s asking too much. I’m done with all of you. Won’t read another response so dont bother.
