I'd rate BE a mid 8. It did keep me binge watched though. Even though I'm a fan of SHK, until this drama, I didn't finish watching his last few projects as they weren't to my liking.
It's fine to ask for drama recommendations. However, I find it "silly" to ask if one should drop the show or continue with it - after started watching it. The fact that one asks this question, there's already a high chance he/she's already made up his/her mind he/she's not going to enjoy the show anyway.
Each of us has our preferences. There're highly rated dramas which I just got put off by the performance of the lead actors or stories (of course, it's totally subjective!) and stopped watching within the first 15 minutes. They're simply not my cup of tea, even as I respect others marveling over the dramas.
So, let's just laud/recommend what we deem worthy, or just feel otherwise. But never impose our opinions on others or question their choices. Period.
To truly appreciate his brilliance in Brain, one ought to take into account the varied emotions he conveyed just with his eyes - not even facial expression - when his face is covered in surgical mask. Of course, his acting in BE is just as riveting! Period.
Can't get enough of SHK? Watch Brain. Brilliant performance and highly infectious OST. One of my favourite actors and watched most of his dramas and movies - until let down by poorly written scripts and didn't finish the shows in recent 2, 3 years. Glad that he is back with BE. His coming new drama, Beyond The Memory, with Han Ji Min better be great!
