I feel like the problem is with the characters, they aren't well written. They don't give us anything to bite onto so we can't really savor the content. I admittedly like the casting and think everyone is truly giving it their all but sadly this will not be a memorable drama. At least not in the way you want it to be. They rely too much on the notoriety of this pairing to sell us a script that doesn't have enough context. It's like walking into a room in the middle of the conversation, you're interested enough to stay but you have no idea what's happening. Sorry that was long winded.

I completely understand his thoughts on marriage, it does feel like it would have to be a miracle when you're already past the young reckless part of life. Letting someone into your peace can be difficult but in other cases it might just be the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself. Either way I hope it all works out for him.

Make a spoiler or it will be blocked

How terrible, this man needs help not a prison sentence. I recognize that illegal drug use is an issue, but I think South Korea's dependency on alcohol is also a HUGE problem. However, only one of those topics is being treated as a crime here. I hope he can overcome the failure of his society and conquer his addiction because I fear this ordeal may lead him further into a spiral.
