So far this is Force and Book's best work, and the rest of the cast is great too--just awesome chemistry. The casting director deserves a bonus.
And it's a third episode now where everything just flows, with never a dull moment. This is how you do romantic comedy in a BL. It will be an achievement if they can get through all 24 episodes while keeping it bubbly and fun like this, without throwing in a jealousy plot or some other stupid trope in a sudden bid to get dramatic.
Every time I see Santa it amazes me to think he's the same actor as in "Only 12%". Much respect! I'm looking forward to his storyline with Perth.
In the original series after the dust settles they end up as a couple.
Oh you’re probably right. For some reason I took the question to be about Earn and Pete. Just last week I went back to the OG series to see how they turned out, so maybe they were on my mind too much. 😵💫
Unpopular opinion DONT THROW YOUR SHOES AT MEBut the last 2 episodes kind of felt draggy.there was no charm that…
I can understand how you feel. Some of the scenes do seem to go on longer than necessary. I guess I don't mind because it's such a sweet story.
As for Aim, it seems that they wanted to make her character less of a villain and give her a meaningful story arc of her own. The GL factor and the twist with Golf's character clearly show intent to broaden the story for contemporary viewers. Personally I like it.
In this version Phun seems okay with Aim's situation, but it looks like he knew deep down that the relationship wasn't working. He had been crushing on Non for a long time. I don't remember if the OG series gave him and Non a similar back story, but I like how this angle (along with Aim's and Golf's storylines) sends a positive message about coming to terms with your sexuality.
The shower scene with Ohm and Non threw me off. It was far from necessary and they threw it in there so casually!
It was very cute, of course, and part of me wonders if this was the director's way of giving us a little skinship without having to make it between Non and Phun. A similar scene with the two of them, with all its romantic implications, would be like having them take a bath together, and given the actor's ages I guess that would be going too far.
The effortless enjoyment of this series just makes the flaws of "Fourever You" more glaring. I suppose it helps to start off with a believable main couple who have good chemistry.
Everything about this just works, from the casting to the storyline to the directing. So much fun to watch.
The "bonus couple" of Pond and Sand is cute as hell. It looks like Marc might have finally found a compatible BL-mate in Poon. I've liked Poon from the first time I saw him in "Our Days". Their scenes together work so well.
The director is giving us same trauma which To MY Star gave us . She is really cruel .
I hated TMS2 as much as anyone, and wrote a review to prove it, so this director gets no free pass from me ....
However, my main beef with TMS2 is how she totally rewrote a beloved main character and made him into a monster. Here she is starting with a clean slate, and since there are countless dramas out there with heavy angst and situations that strain credulity I'm not going to get worked up over this one. I think we're going to get a happy ending no matter what.
(What would be typical for her, though, would be to bring us a Season 2 of this series and make Sin Ju into a monster.)
Whenever Maxky (Johan) is on screen I think of the wacky character he played in "Why You ... Y Me" and the transformation amazes me every time.
I just love Bas's character in this series -- so much spark. I've never liked the low-energy characters he played before, and I wrongly wrote off those duds as him lacking talent. Now it's clear to me he was underutilized in those roles.
I don’t know. Earth is 27 acting like a 12-year-old. Why would anyone put up with that endless pouting? In fact…
You're saying it better than I could. It's like a comedy of the absurd, these drop-dead handsome MEN (including Junior in Ep 4) fussing over this limp-noodle whining KID who'd get dramatic over a ham sandwich.
Sammy is long overdue for her own romance. She had a taste of one in "Between Us" but sadly that hasn't resulted in a new direction for her career. And even there she was the same madcap girl as always.

I like this Ohm-Mick storyline better than the one in the OG series. Especially with Mick being so assertive.
I did like the accidental "open-mike PA announcement" for Ohm's confession in the earlier version, though. 😄

We never got the sight of Pond kissing Nike in "180 Degree Longitude" ... now, THAT kiss would have been one for the BL highlight reel.
