Seeing that this drama is now viewed as a classic, a piece of advice for those who want to check this out in 2024 but cannot stand the dated, 'cringey' style of old dramas is to treat You're Beautiful like an anime. The crazy over-the-top stuff might just be a bit more palatable then, or it might even serve to help you appreciate the quirks of the drama more!

If this stuff does not sound appealing to you at all, then I doubt that you'll like You're Beautiful. No judgement, people have different tastes after all.

Commenting since I see a lot of complaints about this: People want flawed female leads, but can't take it when they prove too headstrong or opinionated. FL in this drama is prideful and immature, and these traits are almost always the reasons for her downfall in the first half of the drama. Her character development takes quite some time, but do consider sticking with her a bit longer.

And yes the law-ing in here is ridiculous but if you're a fan of the Ace Attorney series (like me), this is some top-tier courtroom drama lol.

Title Garo
Glorious culmination of one man's Artistic Vision. Garo kind of gets a bad rep for being oh so "dark and EDGY" but it's actually one of the most heartfelt and sweet shows out there. It's very episodic but the various MOTWs are the most creative and delightful that toku has to offer... Especially if you're a fan of horror.

Also, for those who want to get into Garo and are deliberating on where to begin: please start with this one. It really lays a lot of foundation for the lore and world building.
