This drama is story of Sang Yan and POV from Wen Yi Fan so Sang Yan shown here played by Bai Jing Ting is the real Sang Yan. The Sang Yan in Hidden Love is the Sang Yan from Sang Zhi POV. I hope people will know this difference and just stop saying "why isnt it victor ma this or that". Please this drama is not sequel to Hidden Love it is different story and shared universe only but its not Hidden Love continuation it is Sang Yan story and Wen Yi Fan story. If you want Victor Ma Sang Yan you can just watch him on Hidden Love.

They needed an A-list actor and Victor Ma is still not a prominent actor he is C-list no offense, also they needed an actor who can fit sangyan look in the novel and victor ma look is more on playful side he doesnt suit sangyan aura and personality in TFF

his affection wasn't out of obsession, he loves her purely just because he still loves her and kept his promise to her that doesn't make him obsessive he is an emotionally intelligent man not many will get this cause in world we live today there are no longer men like him who keep their promises, empty promises has been a normal thing also he never forced his feelings to her and that is the big difference his love is just pure
