I also felt him being casted as a main a bit random – he never really stood out to me, but I'm genuinely curious to see how this plays out👀 Maybe he has more to offer but the roles he has played haven't really given him the opportunity to show his skills ? I understand why this show has such a high rating and I understand why people like it so much, but I just don't think it’s for me.
As another person said, our FL is so weak and pathetic that it's, honestly, so painful to watch. Constantly humiliating and embarrassing herself when she's drunk, begging a man(ML) to love her even though he told her to her face he didn't want her(yes, I understand he was lying and he thought he was doing the right thing for her, but the point still stands), and then we have her missing her f'ing spine – people, including the ML, walking all over her. Like, honestly, not only did I not find anything relatable about this character but she was just so unlikable. Let's not get into how much the ML(and the FL, tbh) needed therapy EVEN THOUGH THE ML WAS ALREADY IN IT. Like?? Hello?????
Although, I found the supporting cast pretty entertaining, they were pretty unlikable too (except for her parents👀Sue me! They were so unhinged ðŸ˜I loved it). Nothing likeable about either of the SL’s too 😕

Other than the characters themselves, I actually found everything about this show pretty great. The OST is amazing, all the actors did such an incredible job (Eric and Hyunjin are the loml🥴ðŸ¤), and the plot itself is actually quite interesting (although, it is a bit strange to date the person who ruined your relationship and is the reason your ex-fiancé went to jail, but it’s neither here nor there, I guess💀💀). But considering the characters make up literally 99.9% of the plot, it’s hard to move past my dislike for them. And this is why I’ll be dropping this drama 3 episodes away from finishing because I just can’t do this anymore💀ðŸ˜).
