It's so hard to take the thriller aspect of this drama seriously with that weapon choice lmao
Believe me, that weapon can be super deadly, as I have explained before. Using a knife would be more "dangerous " to him and guns are hard to get in Korea. Slingshots with 9mm steel balls can be silently deadly.
Regardless of how badly the drama was titled in English, it was absolutely clear from the first episode that the…
Excellent summation of the central themes of the story; Choi is indeed taking a crash course in reality from the fantasy world he inhabited before when he was not even aware of the extent of the damage to his former student's family.
He just walked away leaving her to deal with it all on her own. By the last episode he will be made aware of his complicity in this private-for-profit educational system and have to deal with that knowledge.
My comments on the statements regarding how people didn't realize that the drama had a "thriller" aspect to it…
The murders are an integral part of the central problem the show in trying to highlight - how an extreme educational system [ crazy parents and immoral private schools for profit business men and a national obsession with testing] not only psychologically and morally damages kids, but it also cause many to die -the murders are just an extreme example of that. Ji Dong Hee is a murder because of that system and what it did to his sister and to him by his monster mother.
I'm really enjoying this drama - major fan of Jung Kyung Ho - I don't think I've seen Jeon Do Yeon before but…
Read this article; it will give you some insight into the scope of the problem and, it is a national problem! And it is because of stuff like this that multiple Kdramas had dealt with this issue, some more completely than others. From my reading on this topic , this is an issue in other Asian countries as well. It also an issue in some Asian communities in the USA as well. Having a Tiger Mom can be bad as well as good - its a matter of degree.

Lookup the meaning of the Korean title for the show; it has nothing in it that denotes romance.
Revised Romanization: Ilta Seukaendeul Hangul: 일타 스캔들 The romance is a secondary plot to the shows real meaning; the real scandal is the national obsession with student rest scores and the greed [testing industry] , corruption [cheaters] , the insane parents and the harm that this huge for-profit industry does to young students; worst case, it kills them and in lesser cases , it make then crazy or serial cheaters for life. Look at all of the damaged kids in this show and the absolutely insane parents and the greedy testing center business men from the very first episode until now.
Go back and watch episode 6 slowly and see how it foreshadows all of this.
isn't he using a slingshot rifle though? at least in the part where he kills the teacher. which are used in hunting.…
Sling shots with a 9 - 15 mm steel ball will kill when shot to the head. They are completely silent weapons that can be used for killing at a safe distance - unlike a silent knife attack. They are often use by special forces types on missions because they look harmless and are so silent. In Germany most slingshots are illegal to purchase and possess.
