Ok the plot around young Ieyasu is interesting however the village characters are tiring. Naotora could have been a good short series however it is not a theme for 50 episodes.
I will continue to semi watch it to see Ieyasu's scenes and Suda Masaki as the adolescent Toramatsu/Naomasa.
The movie interested me however the trailer made it seem very cheesy so far to me. I have heard that the novel was good and rather mature which is why I am curious and will watch it.
I personally think that future Taigas should have fewer characters. I get confused during the village plots since there are way too many village characters.
Anyone else wants to list the characters they like/dislike:
I like:
Chacha
Masayuki
Ieyasu
I would have liked Ina, Haru (Otani Yoshitsugu's daughter) and Ume (Hotta Sakubei's sister) if the script writers wouldn't have bashed them all the time. Ina and Yoshitsugu's daughter deserved better.
I dislike:
Kiri - selfimportant and taking away screentime from better and more important female characters the historical Takanashi Naiki's daughter was irrelevant to Yukimura in contrast to the much younger and more valuable Otani's daughter. Also her meeting Hidetsugu, Nene, Chacha, Gracia never happened.
Nobushige/Yukimura - very unconvincing to me, a let down. I also thought that his behaviour towards Otani's daughter was disrespectful since the writers wanted to avoid all nice/meaningful scenes with Yukimura and Otani's daughter during Kudoyama and Osaka despite them historically being very close.
It also annoyed me that Kiri harrassed/terrorized Otani's daughter all the time during the family scenes. Hell Yukimura never has a scene alone with Yoshitsugu's daughter and their heir and son Daisuke for example which would have been actually important for the story since Daisuke participated in the Siege.
Yukimura and Otani's daughter weren't bothered by Takanashi Naiki's daughter in history.
While I dislike Taiga doramas nowadays since they are extremely historically inaccurate (Sanadamaru and Hanamoyu were very inaccurate) I am interested in this one.
Also Kuroki Haru in a historical setting is always good.
A really decent depiction of the Sanada clan. Kusakari was a manly and gentle Yukimura and very convincing. The cast was excellent.
The fall of Osaka Castle was really well depicted and the last scenes of Yodo, Hideyori and Daisuke made me sad as well as the scene in which Yukimura and Daisuke say goodbye to Daisuke's mother and sisters.

Also good to see a drama about an already married couple.
I am looking forward to her next Taiga appearance in Sego-don as well.
